Yesterday was our homecoming parade and the band did us proud! Was a beautiful Payson day and it always amazes me the people that come out during a weekday to support our high school! I love going past the elementary and middle schools seeing the anticipation and excitement when they see someone that they know! My daughter is a senior this year, so this is our last parade :( though my husband did tell the band director that we would be available next year to transport the band in the parade if she needs us :)
My shoulder is still playing up, but I am going back to Curves anyhow on Monday! I am tired of not going and am missing it! I will be careful, I promise, I am going to go through the circuit seeing what I can do and concentrate on those exercises.
Also, I have a follow up appointment with my cardiologist on Monday, had my blood drawn already so am hoping for good results.
So, this weekend, so far is quiet.....but there is a band competition this afternoon, did I mention that the high school band qualified for state! I am such the band mom!
My son is at an airsoft war with his friends...they slept over last night, so it is quiet here without him!
My husband is off helping a friend! So right now it is just me, my daughter and the cat! Soon to be just me and the cat! I have paperwork to finish for my other job, so had better get on with that....time for my treat - coffee with cool whip sprinkled with cinnamon!
Feel free to join me!

I cannot believe that it has been 10 days! As some of you know, I got sick..... and I had also hurt my shoulder, the doctor had told me that I needed to rest for 2 weeks and no curves! I was put on antibiotics and everyday I felt worse, I ended up needing to switch antibiotics and start on a steroid! The steroid finally was the trick! I still have an irritating cough, but am sooooo much better.
On top of all this my husband and I were going to Seattle to drive back a 1972 International diesel truck that he had bought. The best part was that I got to catch up with my friend, Marcie, we went to check out the sights of Seattle including Pikes Place Market! We had so much fun! We went out to a seafood restaurant and rode on the car ferry! Then the road trip back to AZ! It took 4 days of eating on the road, staying in motels and not drinking enough and of course no exercise! I was glad to get home and back into my usual routine and bed! Needless to say, I gained weight while we were on the road.....but I know that it is just a result of poor choices (well limited choices) so now I am back!
Today I am back to logging my food and exercise, plus I am hoping to make it back to Curves. I had told them that I could not come because of my shoulder, so they said that they would monitor my exercises when I return. I do not think that I am ready for zumba again yet, but will try the machines today and see how my shoulder feels.

We moved chose the US as our home in April 2000, we were living in California at the time of 9/11/01 and were left wondering and reeling along with the people of this land. From this day forward we have claimed this country as ours and are working on becoming citizens. At the moment we are permanent residents. When we came to the States our children were 3 & 5, now they are 15 & 17, they know no other life and are Americans, if you were to see them with their friends you would not be able to pick them out!
Just after 9/11 we moved to Tucson, AZ where our son started kindergarten......every morning they would play this song over the school's sound system into all the classrooms. He would belt this song out from his little heart! That Christmas, my mother in law came from New Zealand to spend Christmas with us. In the car what was the first song that her little grandson sung??? Yep I am proud to be an American! Then the next time he heard it on the radio, he announced to his nana "that is my principal singing that song!" It took a lot of convincing for him to believe that it was not his principal singing it every morning. We told the principal this story too, and he had to tell Jesse that it was not him, for him to be convinced!
I am having trouble making this link work, try below, sorry
