    It's good to have before pictures, then you can compare them to the fabulous ones you will take later.
I have some before shots , and believe me mine are a lot "bigger" than yours.
But the after photos I am very proud of.

Good Morning to all my SP friends and supporters! Without everyone of you I could not do this! I am also well supported by my family who celebrate all my losses with me, supporting me in food choices cause it affects them too! Yesterday, I went to Curves for my measurement day! It had been 6 months since I had been measured but I am not focusing on what the measurements were but looking forward to the next months results! emoticon The good thing is that their scale is in tune with mine at home! My goal is to go to Curves everyday except Sunday (they are closed :( .......I am claiming this as my day of rest!)
This morning I weighed myself (yes! I am a daily weigher!) and I had lost another 0.6lbs, cannot believe that with eating more I am losing! I am now eating in the 1400 range and exercising!
Tonight I am scheduled to work but am hoping to be cancelled emoticon then I will be working for 6 nights and not 7! That is my challenge - to eat enough when I am away from home for that week! I usually go straight to bed after working my nightshift and then sleep until about 4pm (if lucky), then get up and go to Curves, sometimes will get a snack after Curves or else I have been having my protein shake once I am at work. Then I eat my meal around 2am. So, see my dilemma to get enough calories in! I am going to take some snacks but as you fellow nurses know that is not always possible! I know I should have a snack before bed huh? Any ideas from my nightshift buddies on how you get your calories in......

    HI CHRISTINE,

I TOO WORK THE NIGHT SHIFT AND USE TO STRUGGLE IN FINDING OUT HOW TO EAT ENOUGH ESPECIALLY WHILE WORKING IN A BUSY ED. I STOP ALL EATING AT 5-530 AM. MY EATING SCHEDULE IS 5P (BREAKFAST), 8P (SNACK), 11P (LUNCH), 2AM (SNACK) AND 5 AM (DINNER). I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE. YOU MUST DO A LOT OF PLANNING ON YOUR DAYS OFF TO MAKE IT EASY FOR WHEN YOU ARE WORKING. I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE TO YOU. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY.

I don't do night shift anymore,but what about eating a bowl of Cereal or Oatmeal with Milk after work before bed? Or some Nuts and Fruit as a Bedtime Snack?

Never thought that I would be saying this, but I think I have a new habit - going to Curves! I have been 8 times this month so far, am going everyday except Sundays! This is my 3rd week of going everyday and I look forward to it! They say one month then it is a habit right? Yesterday I worked my nightshift, drove the 2 hour drive home, went to bed, slept about 4 hours, then got up went to Curves, was disappointed to see that the zumba class for today had been cancelled.. as I was leaving saw the instructor and she said "stay and do the class now", are you crazy, had just finished my workout with 2 extra machines added! Anyhow the idea got me thinking so.......yes I stayed and did the zumba class too! This was just my 2nd time of zumba and I got some of the steps down! I enjoyed it! This morning I am going back to Curves and am going to be weighed and measured for their weightloss challenge. I am not going to worry about what my weight and measurements are there as it has been a long time since I have been measured there, but in another month hope to see great results...will keep you posted!

Not enough calories!

Really! This seems so wrong, but I have not been taking enough calories and it showed on the scales, I gained 4oz! I have been going to Curves everyday as well as walking and I did not lose! When I look back for the week my calories have been - 1328,1381,1041,1272,933,556! I had been working nightshift and somedays did not eat much at all! So now I am aiming for around 1300 and still exercising! I have also not been drinking enough water. Will see what the scales tell me at the end of this week!
I am excited that I have been nominated the family member of the week for the 50lb team! It has given me the boost that I needed! Love SP and all the support and encouragement!

    My doctor told me for years that I was not eating enough when I would complain about not being able to lose weight. It was so hard to believe but when I started SP things started changing for me. It does work so keep on trying!

    Sometimes raising your calories up 500 for one day, and then back down will help the weight start to come off again.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole idea of "Eat more, weigh less". It isn't that simple, of course, but we do have to fuel our bodys properly so that we get the Optimum Performance out of them. It is kind of like not filling the car with good quality gas, and then expecting it to run like it should?
