I came home today to all the snow still on the ground, but it is not packing own and it a little icy, so I am not risking going walking today! So I did some strength training with my dumbells, I did an upper body work out and I feel great! I can feel it in my shoulders YAY!
Hope that everyone is working towards their 2011 goals! I am doing this with the support of y'all, thanks to all my friends!

    I don't know if this will interest you, but I use Leslie Sansone's free one and two miles walks when I can't get outside. These are the links:

They are more than just walking. She gets you moving and using all your muscles as you go through the workouts. Great fun, and a great workout in my opinion. :-)

    It sounds like you are doing well with the strength exercises. Have you tried the walking in place briskly to get walking exercise indoors when outside the weather is not good?

I changed my strength exercise today. It sounds like it will be a good challenge for me when I do it in a few minutes! I did lots of walking today already.

Goals for 2011

I have set my fitness goals for 2011 - I have increased my fitness goal to 4x30 mins a week, also i have just ordered a new journal from weight watchers to keep track of my points. I am wearing my pedometer everyday, planning on walking everyday that I am back home from work, I am looking at opportunities to be more active.....I am going to get back on track at Curves and I am going to do the strength exercises from SP every alternative day!
My goal is to lose 20 pounds by 30th wedding anniversary - March 14th!
I think that this is a do-able goal with the help of all my SP friends..

Officially it is still New Years Eve where I live! So hope that you have all had a good time saying good bye to 2010 and welcoming 2011 emoticon emoticon emoticon
I am back working tonight, so will be seeing the new year in with my tiny patients! We still have a lot of snow at home and so I came down the mountain early today to make sure that I could get out!

Its snowing!

Thanks everyone for prayers and kind thoughts as I went to do my home visits today - I have driven 229 miles! I got up early and went walking with my son this morning for 40mins. It was 34 degrees! When I asked him if he wanted to come, he was shocked to go so early but he came anyway! It is a good way to spend time with him, he talks to me the whole time! I treasure these times now that he is 14! I also took some photos on my walk and will try to post them tomorrow.
I weighed in this morning for the BLC challenge, I had gained but I was not shocked! It has been TOM and I feel bloated. I am now back on track so I will see a loss next week!
Tomorrow is a strength day, so will be able to keep warm inside :)
I go back to work tomorrow night so am hoping for not too much snow. It started snowing today while I was away....my darling husband came to meet me at the turnoff and escorted me back into our town through the snow!
Will check in tomorrow before going to work :)

    Hoping the snow doesn't cause problems for you. Nice that your hubby is so good to you like that. Sweet! :-) It's lovely to get time with our kids like that too. I get way too few chances for a one-on-one with my eldest these days.

Strength today!

Did not go walking today, but I am impressed by all my SP friends that are walking no matter what the weather, today was my strength day so I have been doing exercises with my dumb bells and other exercises! Tomorrow I plan on going for my walk as soon as I get up, I have to go to do some home visits tomorrow, so need to be on the road by 9.30am, they are forcasting snow...so am hoping not! I have to go about 90miles for my visits....
will check in after my visits tomorrow....
