Goals for 2011

Sunday, January 02, 2011

I have set my fitness goals for 2011 - I have increased my fitness goal to 4x30 mins a week, also i have just ordered a new journal from weight watchers to keep track of my points. I am wearing my pedometer everyday, planning on walking everyday that I am back home from work, I am looking at opportunities to be more active.....I am going to get back on track at Curves and I am going to do the strength exercises from SP every alternative day!
My goal is to lose 20 pounds by 30th wedding anniversary - March 14th!
I think that this is a do-able goal with the help of all my SP friends..
Thanks for all of your support,
Christine

It's doable because Christine can do anything she sets her mind to, and her SP friends will be right by her side cheering her on!

The first step to reaching goals is making them actionable, measurable, and writing them down. Way to go! I'm cheering for you!
You ARE doing this!

Happy New Year!

Saturday, January 01, 2011

Officially it is still New Years Eve where I live! So hope that you have all had a good time saying good bye to 2010 and welcoming 2011 emoticon emoticon emoticon
I am back working tonight, so will be seeing the new year in with my tiny patients! We still have a lot of snow at home and so I came down the mountain early today to make sure that I could get out!

Its snowing!

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

Thanks everyone for prayers and kind thoughts as I went to do my home visits today - I have driven 229 miles! I got up early and went walking with my son this morning for 40mins. It was 34 degrees! When I asked him if he wanted to come, he was shocked to go so early but he came anyway! It is a good way to spend time with him, he talks to me the whole time! I treasure these times now that he is 14! I also took some photos on my walk and will try to post them tomorrow.
I weighed in this morning for the BLC challenge, I had gained but I was not shocked! It has been TOM and I feel bloated. I am now back on track so I will see a loss next week!
Tomorrow is a strength day, so will be able to keep warm inside :)
I go back to work tomorrow night so am hoping for not too much snow. It started snowing today while I was away....my darling husband came to meet me at the turnoff and escorted me back into our town through the snow!
Will check in tomorrow before going to work :)
Love Christine

Hoping the snow doesn't cause problems for you. Nice that your hubby is so good to you like that. Sweet! :-) It's lovely to get time with our kids like that too. I get way too few chances for a one-on-one with my eldest these days.
Hugs,

Walking!

Monday, December 27, 2010

Went for a walk this morning, was 38 degrees but still got my son to come with me, very soon we were peeling off the layers! I walked for a hour and covered 2.88 miles of all terrain, I was worried at one point that an angry dog was going to jump the fence!! So my adrenaline was up too!! I earned 4 WW activity points for my walk. emoticon I am hoping to not have to go to work tonight and be on call again! I am looking forward to walking again tomorrow! Got a new battery today for my scales so will see what happened over Christmas tomorrow morning when I usually weigh!

Ah - another "brave soul" - what a good example you are to me. Think I'll go out now, even though we're in the middle of a blazing snowstorm! Thanks.

Don't you just love to walk in the morning? Even when it's cold, it is so refreshing! And the dogs, I usually try to talk sweetly to them saying "you're such a good guard dog!" --stuff like that. I've had several encounters with dogs but thankfully they've never attacked.
Best wished for the New Year!

Good for you for walking. There is a misconception that one will be cold when walking in cold weather. Unless there is some extreme such as windchill, you actually do warm up from your calorie burn, hence the runners in cold weather! Good luck and keep moving!
