Good start to the day, got in 66 minutes of walking and 25 weight training

I decided to try something new with my spark plan, as most know I plan my meals about a week in advanced and post them on my tracker, so now I'm going to print off my daily menu and bring to the kitchen, so I can see what I should be eating, and the right serving size....some days I forget something or add something or get the wrong amount....I am trying to become more accountable for my food, seems exercise is good ...

I read an interesting article about why we gain weight even when we feel like we are doing our best...
I do not fool myself, I know when I have eaten more calories than I should but need to see it in black and white, seems I can then do better....
I did this yesterday and it worked well....
I'm trying to loose the weight I gained after having some changes in my personal life, and so far things are going very well, dropping about 3 pounds last week....
weighing my food seems to really help keep my portions where they should be, using grams seem better than cups...it's easy to add a bit more, and all those little bits add up at the end of the week..

well find what works for you and stick with it...

Another healthy week begins.
Today is my planning day, looking for a few new recipes that are light and easy, it has been hot and humid here, we did get some rain last night but it feels even more humid....

Yesterday was a good day, I walked for 60 minutes, got in some weight lifting, then went to a farmers market, got a few days of fresh veggies...then spent the rest of the day with family.
Sister and I did some shopping, we do a lot of this.....lol then we had dinner there, I did good had a burger wrapped in lettuce, I have learned to love it this way with tomato, and onions...a medium corn on the cob, no butter or salt...once again I have learned to eat my food naked....
did have 1/2 cup of lower cal ice cream...
today I'll get some down time to plan my week, and still get some moderate exercise...
I'm also going to get a list going for my rewards, I use to do this and going back to keep me motivated, not working and getting that socialization seems to make me less motivated, so maybe rewards will help...this journey is all about tweaking the plan when things seem to be slipping back to old habit or lack of motivation...

So what will you do this week to in sure you stay on track and keep your plan moving toward your goals....did you make goals...are you at the top of your priority list?

Planning a healthy week end and to visit 2 of my Aunts.....have not seen the one since my Mother's funeral.
Rode the exercise bike 10 miles in under 60 minutes.....getting my strength back and happy with my weigh in, down 3 pounds...7 more to go....

today is house work day, we are going to grill out for dinner, rib steaks tonight, yahooo my favorite.

Got my new chair, a small recliner that fits me just right.....thank you Gary dear, it's perfect....

I took pictures and they are all blurry, so back to redoing today, not sure what I did wrong...

so life goes on even if you don't.....decide what you want and then go do it...

What a day

My day getting an Ohio drivers licence .
This was quite an experience, first off they moved the office across the street from where the booklet said it would be...
then we were told to bring our birth certificate, social security card, prove of address where you now live, and money 23 dollars. so I had it all excluding my card that proved back in 1969 I passed a drivers training course with a B+...lol

we stood in line for a few minutes and then it was my turn, the lady was not so friendly, sort of demanding that I have all the proper paper work as there was lot that is needed, her words were we just give these things....she looked over my papers and said where is my marriage licence, ...
at first I thought it was a joke, turns out I'm still in the Ohio system from way back, I had a licence in Ohio when I was 16, so way back.....I had to go back home and find my marriage licence....gee whiz.
so Gary went on to take his test and then wait for me....
of course it's all computerized test, you have to get 30 questions right and then the machine turns off. I had to do 32 questions, I missed 2.....so after about 3 hours I had an Ohio drivers licence , picture not so bad...
Gary insisted we go out for lunch to celebrate....next we have to register our cars

one funny thing Gary's licence is good till 2016 mine 2015...go figure they both cost the same...

Up early and walked about 4.5 miles, it was nice and cool...
Going today to try for my drivers licence , they are closed on Mondays, who knew...lol
I have to take the written test and maybe the driving too...oh brother hope I can pass

Yesterday went well the girl at the bank could not have been nicer, so glad that issue is taken care of...
Hope to go to a few roadside veggie stands this morning too.

Darn my scale needs batteries, and it's one of those round flat things, now to find a place to buy one....no batteries plus that I could find....

so things are moving forward, I even found a place to find a job but need an Ohio driver licence, hoping they can find a part time job for me...
