So not only have I gotten off track... again... I was in a car crash two weeks ago and broke my arm.. when I got on the scale this morning and saw 205.5, i cried. I'm sure a few of the pounds are from my cast, but I've gained back the weight I lost because of being out of work.

You see, what I do for a living is work in health care. I work at a rehab hospital where physically, I need to be well. So, until my cast comes off, I'm not allowed to work. Which means instead of being on my feet all day every day moving around, I'm lounging around and looking for things to do.

A friend of mine offered to keep me company during the day so we'll probably go walking. Which is good!!

For now though, my exercising other than cardio is going to be put on hold.

Companion Dieting

Okay, so seriously.. I got off track for a while, but the boyfriend and I made a bet with each other to restart a diet and stick to it.

Our 5 year reunion for high school is in June of 2010. He wants to lose 50 pounds by then. To make it interesting, if he doesnt lose 50+ pounds, he has to pay me $50. If he does lose the weight, I have to pay him.

I would like to lose 75 pounds by then, so the same goes for me, only instead of $50, its $75 for me.

Fingers are crossed!

My plan is to eat healthy, keeping calories under 1500 per day and trying to get ATLEAST 30 minutes of cardio in per day.

Okay, so wow... time flies and pounds gained... after 3+ weeks of non-stop working *no days off!* I went completely off track and gained back 7 pounds putting me at 200.4...

So here I am...

Back and ready to retry... I'm not giving up... I refuse to be content with being the fat kid.

Ugh... I'm so disappointed in myself!!

    We all have set backs. What you do with them is the important part. Sounds like you've got a great attitude. Pull yourself back together and keep going!

As I stepped on the scale this morning before work, I prayed in my head... "please be under 200.. please be under 200.. please be under 200.." and -TADA- the scale screen beeped 196.5!

I was over joyed! Honestly, I was hoping to lose a few more pounds than that in the first week, but hey! Thats 5 pounds!!

I have to admit, the first few days were tough. I wasn't sure I would be able to change my eating habits (or atleast stick to them without being seduced by all the sweets and junkfood), but I was relatively successful in changing my eating habits this past week.

Now just to stick with it!

GOAL for the WEEK: Make it to the gym 3 times between today and Sunday.

All I can say is "wow". I have received SO much positive feedback from so many of you and I can't tell you how great it makes me feel to know that someone is there cheering me on. I have been wanting to lose this weight for a long time and I really feel like I finally have someone (well- many someones) who know how I feel and what I am going through.

Thank you all soo much for the warm wishes and words of kindness and wisdom.

DONE GIRLS are #1 by far!!

Lets aim high, bypass the moon and shoot for the stars!!

    YAY! Done girls are awsome! I feel the same way. I joined recently and have just felt such a warm welcome. Everyone is so friendly and supportive. Congrats on being a DONE girl!!!
