New Year video that is beautiful!

www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vC8Hffm9BE

I loved this video as it has two beautiful prayers for the new year, a wonderful singer I had never heard of and gorgeous landscape.

A fellow sparker sent it to me through spark mail.

Happy New Year!

The blessing of a winter storm

Monday, December 27, 2010

I find that a winter storm at times creates a peace. You have no decision to make about going out into the storm. You need to huddle down. I have enjoyed the peace and the time to get myself organized.

    I agree.
Nothing like a relaxing snow day - as long as you don't lose heat or power.

My new and improved sparking goal calendar!!!

Saturday, December 18, 2010

I decided to make a monthy spark goal calendar. I use PowerPoint to create the monthy page and then I post it on the frig. I hope to look back at in through the year to see what goals I have accomplished! Here is October, November, December. Everyday I try to accomplish something toward the goal.

That was October

This is November, note there are some goals that have remained because I have not accomplished them yet. This will also give me an idea as to how long it takes to accomplish something.

What do you think? I know that this month I have already accomplished many of the goals this tells me that it takes me about 3 months to work on them ( similar to what they say about a new habit.

Haul out the holly! Decorating so son feels big welcome

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

My son is coming home for Christmas from Texas. He arrives on Friday and then will be going home the day after Christmas. I miss him and want to make sure that when he drives up to the house he feels a real sense of coming home!

Usually with working two jobs I have started falling off on putting up too much and then feel stressed that I don't have the house they way that I want to have it.I have been cleaning so I have located all the Christmas items ( A big plus!). I want to put candles in the window and maybe some other Christmas lights. I am excited.

I used to be the Christmas Elf every year and decorate to the 9s but the last few years it just seemed like too much work.

There is nothing like that feeling of "coming Home for the holidays"! Post pics when you have time.
