I have to Change

My goals and my page will once again change. I am OVERWHELMED with the amount of work that I am putting in at school and I don't have a choice since this is my last quarter. School with the dental work that I need is TOO MUCH! But in the end it is worth it. So this weekend I will have to spend some time changing everything so I can balance health and fitness with life.

Time to think, act, then implement!

It has been difficult to workout and once again I will not reach my Fitness Goals. I wish I could say I sat around and squandered the time then I could guilt trip myself into doing better. But the truth is I have been so busy with graduating on time and carrying 19 units this quarter and then 24 units coming up in the next quarter that will all the time I spend on projects and homework and studying there is never any time left except to eat and sleep. I have been stickler about my food that way I am not over indulging. I do allow myself the occasional treat so it doesn't seem like its all work and no play. Even my mom has mentioned how drained I am and when she wakes up in the night to use the restroom tries to convince me to go to sleep since it is 2 and 3 am. Knowing I will be up at 6:30am to begin the day.

The only thing I can do is KEEP TRYING. School ends in June and I haven't put getting healthy aside. I'm still eating great but I do feel MUCH better when I can get a workout in. But when is there time!? Over Spring Break I am going to Disneyland. Even my nieces have said, "Auntie are you sure your going to be up to Disneyland? Because you have dental appointments schduled." I said no matter what kind of pain or discomfort I am in WE ARE GOING. Otherwise I won't get a break at all between the quarters! And I will be overwhelmed. I even have to put off appointments until I have breaks. I have let my teeth suffer long enough and bad teeth affect health so I am going to go take csre of them FINALLY and complete this last quarter. 6 classes. 24 units. 6days a week. I am taking:

Puppetry in the Classroom
Theatre Criticism
Playwrighting
Race and Racism
Analysis of Drama and Writing
Theatre Managment

ALL writing course with the acception of Puppetry but I will be building and constructing puppets. TIME CONSUMING! We don't build sock puppets. These will be MUPPET size puppets. But in the end I will graduate and I can begin to focus on my career. I WILL REACH MY GOALS!!! I guess I will have to go slower toward them than I first anticipated. But, Slow and steady wins the race.......right? I sure hope so.

    As someone who is in school herself, I can definitely relate to being too busy to fit everything (including exercise) in! However, reading this made me realize that you were far busier than I currently am so I sympathize with what you went through! Now that you've graduated (I'm assuming), I hope things are a lot easier on you! :)

    You can do it!!

Do you take the stairs at school between classes? You could go up and down an extra flight or two. Or take the long route between buildings, go in the far door instead of the close one. Park a bit further away? Each little bit would help and not cut into your study time.

In just 3 or so months you should be able to relax a bit and get outside and move more.

Great going on the eating, that's probably more than half the battle!

Talk about being unsuccessful! I like to look at it this way. In the past I would have never have taken the effort to even make a 30 day workout plan and challenge myself to do it. I have still been more active over the last few months that I have in years! And I haven't given up!

I hope to have better success in March. Alot of it is poor time management. Trying to graduate by June has left me too mentally exhausted to even try to workout when I get home from school and the heater has been damn near burning for 24 hours straight everyday due to terrible weather! And the rain and snow is due back my Thursday. ARG! Well.....I'm gonna give my best go of it and hope I succeed....for once this year in doing what I planned for the month!

    LOL, funny story. THEY DID LOL! I didn't realize it until I stepped in a puddle that I had wore a hole right in the tread in both shoes lol. I got news ones. I hope to wear those out soon lol.

I can hardly believe it. 2010 sucked in a MAJOR way. I gained tons of weight and lost my foot hold in the fight. I had gone from my lowest of 281 right back up to 295. I vowed to myself I would break out of the 290's and then 280's by January 31st. I just wanted to match my tape. I knew it was alot to ask for and would accept getting out of the 280's by the end of February but I had to give it a shot. I didn't really think I could do it but I was determined. I put it on my vision collage for 2011 and I stare at it every night. I used glow in the dark bubble paint on it so the word "DONE" glows in the night. I knew it would take strict and structured eating and PLENTY of exercise and water. But, because of past history (laziness and lack of family support) I truly was discouraged even though I projected a strong front. I know how the body works and I know that no matter how much work I put in my body is going to do what it wants to do. I feel like my body is a separate entity from my mind. So, I focused on making the 2 one and I formed a civil agreement between the two to share the same space.

Here I am 18.8 lbs lighter! I can hardly freaking believe it!!! I worked out even though I missed some of my workouts I through in extra on days I had time to. I ate healthy and got my water in. I turned down sugary snacks and invested in sugar free gum and diet caffeine free soda. I worked out in the morning and at night when time allowed. I slept rested and I refused to let the small things stress me. My goal is 10 pounds and month and I knew at least by February I would be out of the 280's. Now I am 276.6 and so close to being out of the 270's before goal! I knew trying to do the impossible would dang near be impossible but I had to try and I succeeded. NOW I AM GLAD I DID!!!

I am lighter than I have been in YEARS. But now, the real work begins. KEEPING IT OFF!!! And guess what.......I'M READY! emoticon emoticon emoticon

  I enjoyed reading your blog. You are doing fantastic! I wish I could borrow some of your determination. I did real good loosing the first 10 pounds. Then I gained 5 pounds back. Really a bummer.
