Yay Rewards list is done!

Ok well almost done =) I created my rewards list, but I didn't have enough things to add to 70, 75, and 85 haha. For 90 lbs lost I put a tattoo! I added something for every 5 lbs I lose. I added things like... curlers, earrings, manicure, pedicure, rain boots, rain coat, for my 50 lbs lost I chose a new hair color. I normally just buy a box and do it myself, but I want to actually go into a salon and get it done professionally =)

Now I just need to go to the gym! At least my eating has been great so far.

Man, I am ready to go back to bed already. At least it is pay week, although it feels like a million years from now =)

I know some people like to reward themselves with treats when they do a great job with their weight loss. I don't see any problem with this, but I would rather have a different kind of self-reward system. Every 5 & 10 lbs I will reward myself with something. Normally I don't give myself anything. I like to give and give to my friends, fiance, and family because I love them and they deserve nice things! I never know what I want, and even if I want something, I would still rather give someone else something they want. I decided I am going to reward myself for losing weight! 20 lbs lost I will get a manicure, at 25 lbs lost a pedicure. Maybe around 40 lbs I will get my hair dyed. I am not sure what else I want to put on there, but I will work on it more tonight. My first real goal is to lose 50 lbs before the wedding so I will have to think of something extra special for that =) My ultimate goal is to lose 100 lbs, and I will get the tattoo I have been wanting WHEN I hit that! I think I need to start saving up some money for all of this too haha =)

    this sounds like a great reward system. I did not even think about what I would reward myself for losing weight. I guess since i did not lose anything yet it does not seem real. I would have to come up with ideas maybe this will help me to stay on track.

Thanks for the comments on the last blog. I didn't go over my calories! and I barely saw him anyways because he had so much work and school. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow, but at least I will be able to have it a bit easier for the menu options. I like packing my own foods! I make sure I keep tons of snacks there. My co-workers always joke that they will come to me to get snacks instead of eating their own food. I just really like the variety. I like having a choice of 10 things instead of just the one thing I packed the night before. I have been doing a good job with coupon cutting lately, so it really helps out with the costs of the 100 calorie snacks and grain bars. I have been looking at calories and other nutrition facts at the store before I buy the items too.

It is so much easier for me to eat at work because I have no one else to feed except myself. At home, I have my fiance to feed. He wants to eat healthy, but is struggling because he doesn't really like ANY healthy food =( I try to eat by myself, but then he gets upset because he is still hungry or wanted to eat with me. He is understanding of my goals, and doesn't pressure me directly to eat the bad food. He is just being nice when he offers me a taste. Sometimes I will have 1 bite only. I just wish he was willing to eat the same thing as me so I only had to cook 1 meal at a time. Sometimes if I don't make him something, he won't even eat a real meal so.. I dunno. It is a tough situation!

    Wow, my husband eats a lot but its mostly healthy food so that helps me. I would suggest that you continue to make healthy meals because it will benefit you both and eventually he will get into it. It's just a matter of time before his stomach growls wildly enough for him to join in or fend for himself. My husband does that when we differ on meals for the evening. It's okay!

    Riverless is right on! You know what you should eat so go ahead and prepare it! If hubby doesn't like it, OK. He can eat cereal or he can cook his own meal. The most important thing about a lifestyle change is not to let well meaning or mean spirited people sabotage your efforts!

    If there is anything that I have learned, its that you should not sacrifice your goals because you have a significant other that refuses to participate/support/whatever. My husband used to make me cook two meals because he won't eat half the stuff I do. And I don't have time to make 2 meals.. so I gave up and just started eating what he wanted. But then I realized that I'm not going to live y life as big slob. If thats how he wants to, whatever. I'm not going to. So I make a dinner that is healthy. And if he doesn't like it, he can have a bowl of cereal or something that he is capable of eating. I try to make things that I think he will eat. but he is so picky and I was miserable because I was missing out on the stuff that I really wanted to eat.

First off: Thanks for all the nice comments! I do have to wait a while, I just don't want to =D

Second: It just started pouring outside. I like this weather, but it really makes it hard on me for getting in walks with my pup. He is a little guy who isn't a huge fan of the rain. I have to make sure he doesn't float away in some of the puddles around my place haha. I have been doing a lot of indoor strength exercises. My roomie says he is going to start going to the gym with me. We already pay for it with our apartment fees, and it is 3 minutes away. Once I find my walking shoes, we may just walk there & back. He is more into the lifting weights. I want to do more cardio.

I am glad it is almost the weekend. My fiance is working a double though, so I won't really get to see him. Yuck.
