I had a pretty good weekend although it went by super fast!!! I went to a park Saturday & walked around a bit. Yesterday I walked to my local township Days. It was a gorgeous day although I got a bit of sunburn on my one shoulder. They had a lot of vendors, a parade, petting zoo, and a car show. I even put in raffle tickets at the local animal shelter booth. There were a ton of dogs there! I didn't get any 5K training in, but at at least I got in 2 hours of walking.
Yesterday I helped set up for a surprise party. They only had an hour to set up all of the decorations & food in the house. I like doing all of that, so I was honored when I was asked to help. I even thought of random things the hostess didn't think of - for example, they had hotdogs & hamburgers but I didn't see any big plates to put the food on when it was done being grilled. So I asked her and she quickly found some haha. Her & her Mom & sister kept saying Thank You to me. They only had hotdogs & hamburgers & mayo-based salads so I mostly picked at the veggies and fruit salad. Oh and tortilla chips yum! haha
My running belt came, but I didn't get the chance to use it yet. I showed my parents, and they laughed at me. They are happy I am doing exercise, but they thought the belt was silly. I explained how uncomfortable it is to jog with a backpack on. I will definitely wear it when I walk the 5K on the 22nd. I am still really excited about it. I am not jogging in it at all, but it will give me a better feel of having other people around!
I have yoga tonight & zumba on Thursday. My thumb is really bothering me, so yoga probably won't be as fun, but I am still going! I finally have a hand specialist appointment in 2 weeks.

I have been doing more for me lately. It is a bit stressful at times, because other people still expect the Old Routine. But I can't go back. I have to keep moving forward!
I woke up this morning, and I felt so good. When I was getting ready for work, I kept smiling and felt so giddy. I still feel really good! The songs on my Sirius radio were awesome & really made me smile more! Usually I only feel this way when I am REALLY excited about something. There isn't anything too crazy going on this weekend, so I am not sure why I am feeling this way. I think I just feel happier, healthier, and more motivated! I feel more flexible, and I do feel smaller. People scooch in their chairs to let me go by, but most of the time they don't even have to anymore! I like being able to fit through Small Spaces. =)
I did Zumba last night!!! and I am not as sore today. My hips hurt only when I first stand up from my office chair. I have yoga again next Monday. Four more yoga classes left. I may do some more 5K training tonight or tomorrow morning. I can't wait for my running belt to get here!
I also realized this morning, I like looking & commenting at other random Spark blogs. I see some people have 0 comments, and I know they need support too! I love this site. Whenever I am feeling down, I come on here and see all of the hard work everyone is doing. I see the successes and "failures" of everyone. We all have our good days and bad days. Thank you for the support over the past year! It really does make a difference. We all can reach our goals in time as long as we do it in our own way! I wish I could tell everyone about it. I do tell some people who ask me about my weight. They all say "Oh I will look into that site, I really want to lose weight too". Then I know most won't stick with it. =( I wish people would understand that their body is their life! A healthier lifestyle may be hard to start up, but it is definitely worth it in one way or another!
Keep sparking this weekend! Don't give up!

I know I mentioned a few days ago I should get some new clothes. I got a few new work shirts for the fall/winter, but I didn't get any new dress pants yet. Last night, I went through my closet and tried on a lot of my older clothes size 1X & XL. I took the 2X & 3X clothes and put them in two trash bags. I am going to take them to Goodwill. I am going to keep the XL clothes just in case I need them later on. I have a big open space with empty hangers in my closet now. I also packed away two drawers worth of size 18 and some 16 pants. Next month I will put a lot of my sleeveless shirts away, and my closet will have even more space!
The picture of me with the droid shirt has a funny story about it. Two years ago, my roommate signed up for his verizon plan and got a size Large shirt. He is 5'10 and weighs 112 pounds. The shirt was way too big for him so he said I could have it. It was way to small for me - I weighed 250 at the time. I told him my goal would be to fit into that shirt. I didn't even start Spark until a year later. When I saw the shirt last night while going through everything, I wondered if it fits - and it does! Now I have a nice long sleeved shirt for outside during my fall workouts.
I went to TJMaxx for the first time in years yesterday during my lunch hour. They had so much there. Some of the clothes seemed expensive - I guess because they are popular brands. Other clothes were pretty cheap. I got a nice sweatshirt for $7 and two nice dressy 3/4 sleeve shirts for work.
There has been a lot of rain here the past few days. I kept getting flood alerts on my phone yesterday. I was going to go for a walk, but the rain kept me inside. I thought about using my Mom's treadmill, but my parents were watching a movie in that room. I didn't want to bug them. So instead, I didn't have a snack last night. I know that isn't the same thing, but at least I was looking out for myself a little bit.
