Weighing myself - how often?

I weighed myself last night before bed and then again this morning. The difference? I was 5 lbs lighter this morning! I thought it would just be 1-2 lbs off. Wow! I Guess I Should just weigh myself in the mornings, or at least only count the weight in the morning.

    I weigh myself only about once per month....

    You can weigh as often as you like, so long as you understand that the short term fluctuations you're seeing are fluid and basically meaningless to your long term goal of fat loss. What is important is the overall trend, is it up or down. If up, you have a problem, if down, stay the course.

    I typically weigh myself in once a week in the morning right after I wake up. I'll admit though, it's hard for me not to become kind of obsessed with the scale, so I have to put it in the closet in between weigh ins.

Another Monday

Back to work today. I chopped up some veggies and portioned them out for the week. I bought a bunch from the farmer's market on Saturday. I have done that before, but then I forget to bring them to work and then some of them go bad. I hate when I have to throw food out because it gets bad!

I also bought some more crafts from Michaels, Joanns, and AC Moore. So now I have more to do for the wedding! Whenever I get a food craving late at night, I just go over the wedding plans, or continue working on my DIY projects =)

Man, this weekend flew by. We went to the Quakertown Mart yesterday. It was fun. Then I did some craft store shopping. I love getting tons of sales and things for the wedding =) I am getting hungry, but I am not sure what to eat.

We just got back last night from our last minute vacation! We drove through CT, stopped in RI, and then drove by Boston and stayed in Mass. We visited Salem and Boston and had a great time. It apparently flooded down here while we were gone. It didn't rain too much, so we still had a good time =) It was definitely hard trying to keep on track. I downloaded the app on my fiance's phone so I could try and keep up with the calorie counting. I am going to weigh myself tonight. I lost 8 lbs so far, so hopefully I didn't gain any back. I was doing strength exercises in the hotel room with our luggage haha.

I hope I have time to go to the food store this weekend. I have a lot of hard work to do to keep on track! It is easier at work because I bring a breakfast and lunch. I get up early and then eat what is here. I have snacks, but I know the nutrition before I eat. I am meeting friends all through the weekend and next week, so I have to be careful about what I eat. I also have to make sure I eat enough! Hopefully I can at least squeeze in a lot of salads so I get more full and also to get more nutrients in case I can't get enough calories in.

    It took me a couple weeks to get the hang of eating within the recommended range, definitely takes a little planning ahead. You'll get it! Hope you have a great weekend.
