Not ready for a vacation!!

We are all packed & ready to go. I am leaving work in a few minutes.. I just have so much to do at home! hahaha. I want to go, I just will be gone for a while. Hopefully when I am there I will feel less stressed - and hopefully I will still want to do everything when I get back haha.

I didn't bring any wedding stuff with me! So I won't be working on that. There are still a few things left at the apartment so we have to get all of that out & cleaned by the end of this month!

I had cake yesterday

It made me feel so sick! I didn't feel guilty - I just felt so sick afterwards. My stomach did not like it at all. I don't know if I just ate too much overall, or if the cake just hated me. Maybe I knew in my mind I really shouldn't of had it. We went out to dinner for my cousin's college graduation. I had salad, soup, grilled salmon with lots of veggies. and CAKE. Ugh that cake!

The rest of the weekend was great. I went strawberry picking, went to the park, organized, went out to dinner, and actually got a bit of sleep! Oh I also got some sunburn - oops. but I bought some sport suntan lotion so hopefully I remember to use it next time.

    I do find that if I've been eating healthy, when I do indulge in something sweet, a smaller portion will do. Any more and I start feeling it. And I notice it with my workouts too.

    Maybe the cake just did not like the same space a the salmon? Sounds like you had a great weekend, other than the cake not liking you LOL.

Tuesday Update

There is still a lot more to move. The rainy weather doesn't help! but we will be done sooner than I think..

Once I get situated, I will be able to start my workouts. I am getting pretty excited about it actually. Hopefully my body won't be super sore - but it probably will be hahaha. My arms are a bit sore from moving the tupperware containers. At least it is exercise!

I also can't wait for the nicer weather so I can walk more. I don't mind the rain, but I don't want to walk outside in it too much. Well, I do WANT to! but I would rather not get sick again haha.

65 pounds lost so far and I feel fat.. but determined!

I hit my goal of 185! 65 fat pounds gone FOREVER & I am at the next level on the stupid BMI scale.

I feel happy & sad at the same time. There is so much more I want to lose still. BUT I am definitely ready to continue my weight loss journey. I am ready to start working out more. I will have more room in the house to move around in, so I can follow some work out videos. Hopefully the workout will help me lose faster - plus I will be in better shape. That is a plus too! More fitness! I am going to add more fruits & veggies to my diet too. I will be closer to a farm which sells really cheap produce! I am much more likely to buy grapes at 99 cents a pound instead of $4.99 regular price at the food store - yikes!

I want to get some pictures taken, but I just haven't had the time!

I hope everyone is doing well! It is almost Friday woohoooooooo!

    The way I dealt with that, and still do is I quit thinking I was on a journey or a diet. I was simply living the way I needed to live.

I have lost about 80lbs....but have held steady for a while and would like to drop another 10-15, so I am at the plateau you might be at. In my mind there is only one way to drop weight. Burn more calories than you ingest, so you have two choices. Cut back on what you eat or increase the amount of activity to burn calories. Those are the only two ways to do it short of some medical procedure.

And also, think about this. Hitting a plateau is a good thing. If you hit a weight and stick to it withing the normal few lb swing from one day to the next, it means you are at a lifestyle level that can maintain your weight. That's BIG!!

If you are of the mindset you are on something that one day you will be off, it's nice to know your habits are ingrained to the point you know you won't start gaining weight back.

Now that would suck worse than not losing.

    Good luck on your journey. I started at 187 lbs and am down to 181.. maybe we can do this journey together. Keep your head up, you've done a great job so far and you WILL continue to keep going. Wishing you the best.

I just went through 10 days of antibiotics for 2 ear infections & a throat infection. Well the ear infections came back & I got a sinus infection too! I went to the Drs again last night, and he gave me steroids and a different antibiotic. He said I may think about getting surgery even though he said I shouldn't a few months ago.. My ENT Dr 2 years ago told me I have small nasal cavities. This causes me to have a constant sinus infection. I cough up icky stuff every morning, but normally I am fine after that. But sometimes it flares up and causes more problems - like the past month & a half. So if I get surgery it should open up the passages & allow proper draining. Sigh. I don't want another surgery! I had so many so far.. I just hate having so many problems. I hate being sick too!!

Oh well. I am in SUCH a good mood. I don't know if it is the medication or what. Even though I still feel sick, my ears don't hurt as much. We are having our last game night at the apartment this Friday. Then Sunday we are going to a semi-local zoo with our friends. Yay! I am trying to stay POSTITIVE even though so much is going on!!!
