Although I am working today, my weekend pretty much started last night. I played some games with a couple of friends and my FH. I didn't want to go to bed, but I had to! The weather is really nice today. I hope it holds up for Sunday. We are going to play with some wolfies at a Wolf Rescue/Shelter. I am so excited about it!!! It is almost my roomie's birthday on Sunday, but I probably won't even see him. He isn't a big fan of birthdays. I got him a present last year and he was mad at me grrr. Oh well. I got him 4 presents this year. They are also considered house-warming gifts since he just bought a house and is moving this month.

I am moving too, but I don't want to talk about that just yet...

I hope everyone has a great day! and a great weekend if you are working or off!

French Fries YUM!

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

When it comes to JUNK food, I really don't have too much of a problem. I can say no to cake. I just did yesterday at work! Candy? No thank you. Ice Cream? Meh. Potato Chips? Nah. (Sometimes I can't say no to a tortilla chip though)

FRENCH FRIES?!???!!!?! YESSSSSSSSS Please. and I want more!!!!!!

I am pretty sure this is the only food I can't turn down. I don't really like the oven baked kind you make at home even though there are 50 different flavors of those. I LOVE them at a restaurant. I don't order them myself, but if someone else gets them I WANT THEM hahaha. I won't eat McDonalds or Burger King fries though. I don't even go there to eat.

You know what? I don't care that I eat them. I have been tracking again, and it really helps to show exactly what I have been eating. I need more fruits in my diet. Less fries & more fruit hahaha. I really don't eat them everyday anyways. I just think it is funny how much I really love them!

I make fries in the oven. And I have counted out my fries to!

Yesterday, we went to McD's for lunch, something I have not done in months.
Did I say I LOVE their fries!
Anyway, I was being good so I ordered Coffee (reg) , Grilled Chicken w lettuce, tomato no mayo and fries. we had a coupon for buy one get one extra value meal. The fries came out and they were in largest box I have ever seen!
I eat less than a 1/2. After,I looked on the side of the box and it said Cal 380. So I figured I eat about 190. After, I took the rest home. I really felt good about leaving McD's w/a doggy bag! Afte,r I thought fries are not the best when u heat them up again so in the trash they went w/the other 190 cal!
I am proud that I did not eat all and the rest of them!!!!

When you get the real thing, it's worth it. I don't eat them much, but about 3 weeks ago we ate off a lunch wagon. I got a hamburger and fries. Delicious! I made up for it. It settled my craving for another 6 months.

I will be overweight when I lose 3 more pounds..

Thursday, April 19, 2012

The BMI concept still makes me scratch my head. So many people don't actually use the terms Obese and Overweight the same way. People usually use physical appearance to say if someone is overweight or Obese.

Once I hit 185, I will be overweight. I am so excited about it! I finally started tracking my food again. I am done tax season and have a lot more free time. I have my nights and full weekends back! I have been trying to go on longer walks. I even try to plan them with my friends now. That way I can see them AND get some exercise in. I still need to get some more workouts in, but at least for now I am more focused on losing more weight.

I picked up my wedding gown this past weekend. It isn't as big as I thought it would be because of the corset backing. I can tell in the hips and bust area it is definitely big. I want to lose more weight before the wedding though. At least the gown can be altered!

I am so glad I have more free time!!! I need to figure out what to get for Mother's Day! I like being able to sit and look at my calendar now and not feel as stressed. I can plan more & do more without so many time restraints. emoticon

These milestones are what keep us going! I am close myself, but yet it seems so far! Just within my grasp!
Congrats on surviving tax season. I too am an accountant, but don't do tax. I like to be free to take a winter vacation.
Good luck!! You know you can do it, and those few extra pounds before the wedding will just make the losing even better!

Congrats on being so close to being, what the government calls, "overweight"! I completely do not believe in BMI, it's just a way to group people on ONE category. BMI, taken into consideration along with other factors, can contribute to the ability to consider how healthy someone is. Sports players who have a lot of muscle and almost no fat are extremely healthy, yet their BMI is in the lower 30s, making them obese!

None the yet, it is amazing to move into that category, it is exciting! Keep up the good work!!

60 Pounds Gone! For Good =)

Saturday, April 07, 2012

So I finally lost that one pound to make my total 60 pounds lost so far! I still want to lose a lot more Ė but I am so excited! I was at 59 pounds lost for a long time. I didnít gain any during that time, but I was stuck for a bit. I told myself I needed to start eating better again! I have been adding salad to my diet again. It helps fill me up & it is healthy! I am glad the dressing has not been bothering my stomach. It did for a while right after the gallbladder removal.

I am finally at 190 pounds! I canít wait until I get to 185 Ė I will be officially Overweight when that happens! After that, I want to lose more and more. I still need to workout more. I will get there eventually. I have been walking a bit more because of the nicer weather =) My doggie likes that too!

Happy almost Easter to everyone who celebrates it. I hope you have a nice time with your family if you see them!

Congrats on the 60 pound loss, great job, and continued success. Yes some people have problems with different types of food after gall bladder surgery. I have been lucky theat I didn;t experience that after my surgery.

Where did March go??

Monday, April 02, 2012

It has been a while since I updated my Spark! I just updated my sparkpage a little bit. Where did the time go? 194 days until the wedding. It seems so close and yet so far away. I remember when there were over 500 days until the wedding!!! I have been at my new job for over a month already! Crazy. It is almost Easter now!

I definitely need to get back on track. I need to stop just saying that & actually just DO it! I reached my first big goal a while ago. I wanted to lose 50 lbs, and I did that! I have lost 59 lbs so far. But I think I only lost 2 pounds total in the month of March. I need to start working out again. I need to stop having so many cheat days! I am not regaining, but I also do not want to maintain where I am at now. I want to lose more!!! I WILL do it! That one more pound to 60 lost seems so far away because I have been offtrack! I wanted to take some pictures & post them on here to see my progress. I did take some, but that was 2 months ago I think! I never even posted them. I hope once I work 40 hours a week again I will have more time to do things I want. I have some time now, but usually I end up doing chores instead. Or I already have plans to do something else. Or I get distracted and forget what I wanted to do!

It's okay that you lost 2 lbs in March! That is so much better than gaining lbs back!!! You can lose that 1lb to reach 60lbs gone!! I know you can!!
