Hello again!

I am back. I have been struggling again. Got started in September of last year and have lost 25 pounds since then and 7 inches. Fell off the wagon and gained 8 of the 25 back :( I am doing the Beachbody workouts and I love them. Just still trying to get remotivated.

Hello everyone. I have not been on here for MONTHS! I am getting my kitchen redone so I have had no cabinets for a month and a half. I finally got those in the first week in november. I am now waiting on the countertop which means I have no sink. You can not imagine how hard it is to eat healthy when you have no sink, microwave or dishwasher. So what I do is stick to stuff that does not require hardly any cooking so I do not have to dirty pots. I can not wait until I get the kitchen done and I can go back to normal. I have gained 9 of the 25 that I have lost back. It is disgusting. Clothes that finally fit are back to being snug again. It is a battle I keep loosing. Hopefully soon I will be able to get back into it.

Renovations are such a tough time. Your kitchen will be done before you know it and life will get back to normal.

    Oh, been there done that! It is hard. I just kept moving my microwave around...not built in to the kitchen....and plugged it in, in other rooms; that way I could at least microwave lots of vegetables to eat and had fruit. My kids actually got tired of eating out or bringing food home. So glad to be done with the construction. It will get better and you can get back to normal. Try to stay away from bad fast food and stick with salad. You did it before, so you know what to do... I think you will be able to get back on track soon.

Bat Update...

I had a guy come on Saturday (yesterday) to assess the situation and once he was here we cleaned up the poop off of the back porch he put in a one way door it is called. Basically a net held up by duck tape LOL! Then he looked all around the house and sealed up all of the holes that they might try to go in once they realize they can not get back into the original hole. Bats ALWAYS come back to the same roost even after they go hibernate in caves for the winter. Anyway, he does all of this and I sit in my kitchen anxiously awaiting a bat show. I sat there from 8:30 - 9:25pm and not a single bat. Nothing. Not a one. So now, I am thinking that I might not have had bats? Who knows. Bats are very strange creatures so I am wondering if it had came out earlier than 8:30 and I just missed it :( So anyway, he will be back on Saturday to take down the net and seal up the hole. I feel a little bit better and have actually been using my back porch again. :)

Bats....

Does anyone know how to get rid of bats? I have them on my back porch right by where I come out the door UGH! I have called a few places but it is kind of pricey
:( and the one place told me to sit outside in my yard and count how many come out. UM.....okay, get right on that. Who has time to sit out and wait for bats? Really?!??!

    I know this may sound weird, but have you tried animal control? I think bats may be rabies carriers.

Ok, so I have been on Jenny Craig since March 1st and was doing fine but this week and last I have NO DESIRE to do it. I am tired of the meals and want real food. I am starting to get lazy about it and it definitely showed on my last weigh in, one stinking pound :( I have not exercised at all in the last two weeks and I am plain tired of being on a diet. I know it is for the better but why does it have to be so hard? *sigh* I wanted to be at 30 pounds lost already and I am only at 19! That stinks.......

    Yah we know, we know. How about stopping the diet line and start living a healthy lifestyle and enjoy once and a while something that you want. Yet know that you don't have to feel guilty about it. Fits my life style better and trying to live on unfood! Good luck with your journey to healthy living!

    19 pounds is a lot! Think of it as a 20 pound sack of potatoes and you are no longer carrying it around! I have never tried any diet plans or special food like Jenny Craig, but my advice would be just to eat Kimmie's healthy cooking. Buy and cook your favorite things. Slowly add in some new healthy recipes or veges or fruit. You shouldn't feel deprived. Calories in--Calories out...does mean you need to exercise, so your two week hiatus (vacation) is over. Those 19 pounds were a lot of work and exercising will keep them away for life. You are 2/3 of the way to your 30...YOU CAN DO IT!

    19 pounds is a great achievement! Your body might need a change up in order to keep losing. This journey to a healthier you needs to be more that a diet it has to become a lifestyle change so you will not have to struggle so hard again to get to a healthier you. Unfortunately we didn't get at the weight that we are overnight, so we will not be able to get at the weight we wish to be overnight either. This is a tough journey there is a lot of work to do, but it is worth it. You are worth it! You are hitting a critical speed bump right now. You could focus on a possible missed goal or you could look at the pounds you have shed and have kept off. You are stronger and healthier now then you were 19 pounds ago and that is an important accomplishment. Stay strong! You can do this! Keep moving forward reaching towards progress each day and you will get to that finish line.

    Hey, chin up! You've still lost 19 lbs! That's pretty darn impressive, even if it's NOT the 30 you were hoping for. Heck, I don't lose more than a lb a week myself... I've been doing the Sparkthing since the end of February, and I'm only down about 12 lbs.

You're doing fine... you're still losing weight, right? You can do it! It'll take patience and determination, but you can do it. Find something to motivate you and hold on to it! We're still here cheering you on!
