(That made me giggle hehe.)
So I am having a serious issue with my sleeping. I'm between jobs right now, as in I've already left my old one, already gotten hired at my new one, and just haven't started working actual hours yet. So needless to say, just like a junior high kid on summer break, my sleep schedule has gotten way f'd up in the process, short as though it may be.
Lately I have been staying awake from anywhere between 24 and 36 hours, and then crashing out for anywhere between 12 and 24 hours. It's pretty ridiculous and tiring and I'm sick of it. But I don't know what to do!
And my current dilemma is that at this very moment I have been awake for 28 hours and 30 minutes. So, I went walking today obviously because I've had 28 1/2 hours to do so. But when I went walking it was a good 12 hours ago or so, so it's almost as if it's already a new day and I feel that I should be going walking again, like, ASAP!
But I'm soooo tired, because as previously stated, this gal has been awake for damn near a day and a half. I dunno what to do. Half of me wants to jump up and put my bra on and my socks and shoes and grab my headphones and keys and cell phone and run out the door. The park is only a mile or so from my house and I love walking at night time or in the wee morning hours because no one is there by me and I can dance around the track and swing my hips all I want to my music without feeling like an idiot! Haha.
But the other half of me is just exhausted to the core and I'm in my bed already right now typing this. I already have the light off and my pajamas on and a movie picked out to pop in to fall asleep to (The Butterfly Effect. It's in my all time top 10 favorite movies.)
So basically what I'm thinking is that I have to make this decision awfully quickly, the whole, "should I stay or should I go", because here in Central Standard Time the sun will begin to rise in about an hour and a half and I DON'T want to be walking when that crap happens lol.

    Great title! I'm adjusting from jet lag (15 hour time difference - ugh!) and the tips I read were...
- Use a less addictive sleep aid like melatonin, take it about an hour before you want to go to bed.
- Don't sleep more than 9 hours.
- Don't nap, make yourself stay up until it's time for bed (whatever time that may be - you set that for yourself).

    Hi,

I loved the title, haha. Have you tried taking any sleep meds to help you sleep regularly? Not like hardcore ones, but just over the counter like Niquil to help get that sleep. One thing I can say for sure (Ive been there), continuously staying up for that long then sleeping that long isnt good for you, it drains your energy. If I sleep for more than 10 hours, I feel like hell when I get out of bed. And if I stay up that long, Im dying lol. I think you should focus on getting your sleeping schedule back in check, then refocus on your excerise routine. Having a routine is what helps you be consistent. You train your body to be like "ok its 1500L, time to go run" and when you dont, it lets you know :P Just my thoughts on it, but either way you will be fine. Just stay focused!
