Test results

Hi everyone!!

I called today to see if my test results were in and most of them are. According to the nurse, I'm dehydrated (? - I drink water all the time) and the other tests are inconclusive. They can tell that I have a form of IBS, but can't tell how extensive the damage is or even what form of IBS that I have (IBS = Irritable Bowel Syndrome).

So now the plan is to keep taking the new meds and keep a food diary until 4/6 when I go back to see the dr. I'm going to try to reduce the amount of gluten in our diets and see if that helps.

Had to spend the day at the dealership for a tire problem. They SHOULD have had a replacement tire there this morning since they didn't know what the problem was. Instead I had to waste my day off waiting for them to call saying that they had the tire in and then drive back out there for it to be replaced!!!!

Thankfully the tire replacment was covered mostly by the warranty. I only had to pay $45.00 and GM has to pay the other $180.00 to the dealership for the tire and labor (especially the 2 hours it took this morning to find the leak in the side of the tire).

Now we'll be able to go to my mom's this weekend and not have to worry about a bad tire issue.

Breathe in & Breathe out - I feel better now. Thank you for "listening" to me vent.

    A wasted day today- means reassurance later. The drive will be easier knowing that your tires are fine. In the long run- this day won't be a waste at all.
However, today it seems that you would have liked to do something else- maybe that can be put off for another day.

We will listen anytime you want to vent!

Sorry that I've been MIA, but I can't seem to find my motivation. I'm walking everyday at lunch with a friend, but when I come home, I'm blah!!

Been hearing of tooooo much death and sickness lately and it's gotten me down. It doesn't matter if these are celebrity deaths or family & friends family deaths --- right now there is too much of it!!!!!! I went to a wake Monday night for a coworker's mom.

We'll be out of town this weekend - we're going to mom and dad's to surprise her for her b-day (2 weeks early) and to show her my new car (20th anniversary present - 2009 Chevy Malibu). I'll have the laptop and might pop in for a while.

    Keri, I'm so sorry you have been having problems with your motivation. I think sometimes life just interferes with what we want to accomplish. Don't force it. You need to be able to enjoy your exercise otherwise you won't stick with it. Maybe change things up a bit. If you normally walk after you get home, try something new and different. I can't stay too much with the same cardio day after day because I get bored with it and I just want to stop. Hope things get better. emoticon

Today isn't starting out to be a good day and I already have a headache!!!

I'm getting frustrated. Today was my weighin at WW and I gained again. She told me that by increasing my exercise, my muscles are retaining fluids. I'm really really frustrated by this!!! So should I keep increasing exercise or back off a little bit.

I've been walking everyday at lunchtime. At least once a week, I come home and workout with the Wii Fit. I walk on Saturdays with a friend (we didn't go today because of family Easter obligations).

I'm eating healthier and watching what I eat. I have increased my water consumption. I'm losing inches (at least my clothes are fitting better). I just don't get how I can still be gaining.

    I agree with what everyone else has said so far. Look at your calories each day, also. If you've been eating about the same each day, go a little higher or lower for a couple of days that may give your metabolism the boost it needs to start losing again. I wouldn't give up on the fitness. Even when I don't lose I keep up with the cardio and strength.

    The human body is a wonderous and frustrating thing!!! It can choose to retain water at the strangest of occasions, but just remember that as you exercise and tone yourself up, your body will naturally begin to burn more calories as you rest, as long as the measurements are going down and you feel good, then sod the scales!!!

    I agree with Turtle. She is right. Just keep on exercising and doing what your doing. I think your doing great. Our weight changes from day to day. Like you said , you are losing inches that's fabulous emoticon. It's working. You can't rely on the scale. Your clothes say it all.
I hope your having a better day and your headache went away.

    I have never heard of muscles retaining fluid. Don't stop exercise. The formula still works: more calories burned than consumed equals weight loss. The gain in pounds could be from fluid retention but not from your muscles. Could just be extra water hanging around from sodium or something like that. Your measurements are going down and that shows that what you are doing is working. So just keep up with what you are doing and it will all work.

I just finished working out on the Wii Fit for an hour. My Wii Age for the day was 32!!!!

For some strange reason, I woke up today with lots of energy and plan on getting a lot accomplished today. On my list of stuff to do is: finish the laundry; work out; go through some piles of stuff and purge a lot of paper and junk; get the paper recycle stuff ready to drop off in the morning on the way to work
