Finally An Answer of Why I'm Having So Much Trouble

Monday, September 07, 2009

losing this weight. I was diagnosed as a child with hypothryoid and that never changes. So there is a reason and I have finally found a Dr. willing to help me. Keep all thoughts positive and I'll keep everyone updated as we start a new journey to helping me feel better and hopefully look better too.

    Hi,
I'm glad that you found a doc that can help you. I'm in the same boat, after wasting the last 3 YEARS frustrated with the wrong doc. I went to a new Endo 2 weeks ago, and I can't believe how much BETTER I feel after 2 weeks on a new medicine. I hope that your new doctor helps you, and that you're feeling better soon. Here's hoping that you will soon be feeling energized and that the scale cooperates. I wish you luck.

I hope the medication and new doctor help - hypothyroidism really kicks the weight loss program in the knees. Getting the right treatment kicks it in the butt!

Ladies, thank you so much. I look forward to feeling better and to getting to know others that have gone or who are going through this.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 1990 along with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I recently got the dosage of my thyroid medicine changed. This whole weekend I've hardly had any appetite at all. I can't help but wonder if the correct dosage has something to do with it!

I sure hope you and your doctor come up with a plan that will help you, Kentuckywoman54. I'm not sure why it took so long to find a doctor who came on board with you, but you have one NOW and that's all that counts!

Good luck God bless and let me know how it's going!

That's great that you have found a doctor who is willing to help you! It's amazing how many doctors don't actually want to help their patients. They need to work more on their bedside manner in all of those years of school they go through!

I hope you'll be feeling better soon. =)

Will I Ever Be Successful At This?

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

I have tried and tried, but the status quo formula for weight loss just has not happened for me. I have been investigating some possible reasons why it's not working and I hope to find out very soon if I am right or wrong about my reasoning. I just know I'm tired of being tired, tired of not being able to get the pounds off no matter what I am doing. Tired of so many things.

Thank you ladies for the encouragement. I sure don't get any from anyone here at home.

Don't give up! We are here for you. I did not lose ONE SINGLE POUND for three months (right at the beginning) and I was not cheating, working out like a mad woman, and doing everything right. I have just tweaked my plan a bit - eating towards the lowest end of my calorie range, and lowering carb intake a bit. Just a bit, you understand. As of last week, a couple of pounds are gone. Please don't despair - good luck!

Stick to your plan and you will succeed. Sometimes it is hard to see a change and then if you are like me as you go along you realise that you need to tweak your plan a little more to get it going in the right direction. Be strong and keep at it and you will see a difference. emoticon

I know it is hard but it can be done. Working out and eating right while burning more calories than you take in will give you results if you are consistent. Consistency is my problem and I am working on that to get the results that I want. Good Luck!

Beware Roller Coaster Out of Control

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

emoticon I feel like I am on a roller coaster heading for disaster. I keep losing and gaining back the same few pounds. Gonna get whip lash if I keep going like this. I have got to get control of my portion sizes and my food choices or I will never get these ugly pounds of fat to come off...Help.... emoticon

I know the roller coaster feeling. I've been there more than once. It's frustrating but don't give up.

I've found that best way for me to get off it is to diligently track everything I eat and everything I do. I log the time I wake, the time and what I eat, the time and what exercise I do, how I'm feeling through the day. When I get this detailed I carry a little notebook around with me. It may take a week or several weeks to get off the roller coaster. It's a real nuisance to be so detailed, but it works for me. I am fully aware of what I'm doing, where I'm getting off track and then can make the adjusts needed to get back on track.

Keep with your plan. The roller coaster will stop and you'll start down the slide again. I know you can do it. Ann

Learning to stay away from Foods that hurt...

Thursday, July 31, 2008

emoticon I am learning that to eat foods that hurt me are not worth it. I don't like feeling ill or bloated. Glueten is certainly a problem for me not to mention the fact that it throws me into a carb craving binge. Not worth it. The goal here is to feel better not worse.
Also look out for trampolines. I bought one the other day and a person could really get hurt on it, if they don't watch themselfs. Until I get more stamina I think I'll stick to walking... emoticon

Can't wait to meet my first goal

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Do you ever put to much pressure on yourself? I think I do it all the time. Seems like I can't reach that first goal mark. I know I will reach it, but it's just taking to much time. I've been doing this for 4 weeks now and still have 7 pounds to go to get there. I am doing great with my food intake and my water intake is good as well. Could be the salt on the nuts. Need to switch to raw unsalted...Got to work on getting that exercise in everyday as well. At least I am starting to feel better.... emoticon

You can do it! I've found exercise to be key as well. If I have a good week with lots of exercise I lose, if I don't exercise much I maintain or horror have even gained weight.
