Good Friend - Dottie

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

We are so happy, our good friend Dottie had lung surgery to remove a lump... she has been a smoker, so we feared the worst. We just learned there was NO CANCER! PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED. We are taking care of her downs syndrome daughter while she is in the hospital. Our downs syndrome daughter is enjoying her stay!

Mother's Day

Sunday, May 10, 2009

My mother has been a "Mom" for 76 years! She is 100 years old and still lives alone and drives her own car. Today she is spending the day with my older sister. So I am taking my wife and daughter out for "linner" (lunch and dinner) this afternoon. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Family under the weather

Saturday, May 09, 2009

Our daughter was sick to her stomach with a low grade fever for a few days, and I have been a bit "queezie" at times... no, haven't been around any pigs! LOL

I hope you get better soon...but please don't blame it on the pigs. It is a known fact that swine flu has absolutely nothing to do with pigs. Actually the farmers here in Iowa are drastically losing money on any hogs they have sold since the scare of this new flu came out. And it was explained by Mayo Clinic that no one should even think of blaming pigs. You can also eat any pork and you won't get the flu because of it.

52nd Wedding Anniversary

Monday, April 06, 2009

Wondering what we are going to do on Friday... our anniversary. Haven't made any plans, I suppose after this many years, it isn't all that special. Probably just go out for a nice dinner and enjoy each other's company.

It is Special no matter how many years -- and more so for how many years it has been emoticon
My parents will be celebrating their 56th anniversary on Saturday

It's a wonderful statement to say you have been together as long as you have been. Enjoy the day together emoticon

Congratualtions on 52 years!!!! How many people can say that?
emoticon emoticon emoticon
Yes, that is one of the things I like best about being married. Just enjoying each other's company. One of our favorite things to do is just go to the coffee shop and have a cup together. I used to always have a donut but I had to cut that out.

Now it's just coffee, smiles and talk! 33 years worth.
