I think my body is craving food and rest

As stated in the last blog, I didn't hold to my vow in my signature, but miraculously only gained 1.4 lb. Then yesterday I really went overboard and maintained. I think my body is just tired and needs to rest and misses the calories. All last week I was just giving the body the minimum and I could feel it in the gym.
Now that I don't have my HRM (well, I have it but can't use it, need to send the watch and the band in to get my watch battery changed), I'm just going to be going by my breathing. I'm hoping I can burn enough calories. Last night I was so tired, but I got my Strong Lifts done with an attitude. I mean, I was rolling a lot fast than normal. The only exercise I went 5 lbs up on was squats. It amazes me how it's heavier but feels doable. Next time around 180 lbs. I left my chest press and barbell row at 90. Form is important and it's still a challenge for me at 90 lbs.
Today, I've already reached about 1400 cals because of the Durian. I think I ate about 500 grams of durian. That's a total guess. I didn't bring my scale with me... dh won't let me eat it in the house because he thinks it stinks so much. LOL!!! So I was choppin' out on the covered porch (it's raining). IT wasn't the best durian I've had, but it's been so long since i've had one, I just enjoyed it!



So today, I'll just be doing cardio... I pray I burn enough!

The Good News:

I lost 1.6 lbs and made my goal of losing 1.5 lbs by 3/10.


The Bad News:

I didn't stick with my vow of eating within calorie range during the weekend. (See my signature below my posts.)


The Bright Side:

I have three weekends left in this month to get it together!!!

So TOM came thru and blew me up to 158.4 lbs and I lost them last week.

Started a new challenge on the "Lose 1 lb or 1 inch" team which requires me to weigh in on Thursdays. Of course I'm keeping my Saturday WI as official because it has been for the last 5 years!!!

Yep, as of Sunday, March 4, I've been sparking for exactly 5 years.

I spent my 5th sparkiversary in the gym doing the Fit Tests. I'm posting the first and recent Fit Tests that I've done. I chose to do the Insanity Fit Test.






I'm still doing my Strong Lifts 5x5 and here are my workouts for the 4th and today emoticon



You see I'm still holding down the 185. I'll post my video later. But I did 185 again because I'm not moving up 10 lbs until I can just pick up the 185 lbs without huffing and puffing! I'm also sticking to 60 on the overhead presses. That stuff is hard. It's getting better with each time I do them. Still working on it though.


This is what I did, today. I'm sticking to 90 lbs on both the bench press and barbell rows because it's a struggle and I don't just want to go up and fail. I want to get stronger.

Kels deadlift 2/24 @ 175 lbs

So I'm putting myself out there.... getting it off the ground was the hardest thing. I'm not sure about 185, that's what I have to do on Tuesday.

Here's my 5x5 stats for Friday:


It's a new week... feeling a little weak, but we were up late last night. Planning on just one meal today and working out and making the next three weeks count.

LW: 157
CW: 158.4
GW: 156.8 by 3/3

TOM has faithfully arrived 1-2 days before or ON my weigh in day! It's put a damper on my WI days, but I try to look at it on the positive side, at least I didn't gain 5 lbs... which I have in the past!

Lost 2.4 lbs AGAIN!

Well, so last week I didn't blog at all (shame on me) it was a busy week.

I only lost .4 lb. I wasn't discouraged... just a bit disappointed... but then I remembered that I prayed to God that I would gain, or stay the same. I guess He answered that prayer accordingly... then I had to laugh. I loss is always better than a gain or a maintain, no matter how small.

This past week, I made a few adjustments, even tho I wasn't feeling my workouts because of my dying HRM battery... and I came down 2.4 lbs. Thus, fully establishing my presence in the 150s.

However, TOM is coming to town with scheduled arrival of Wednesday 2/22. I hope this is so. I hate a weekend arrival! I'm feeling the hormonal cravings and just NO MOTIVATION to do anything right. So I'm fighting the natural man, that FLESH, that self destructing being... by overcoming my feeling with simply trying to do the right thing. Blew it today... but thankfully, there is tomorrow.

So here are my stats:

SW: 169.4
LW: 159.4
CW: 157.0
GW: 155.5 if TOM doesn't mess me up!!!


Goals for the remainder of the week:
1. Get sleep
2. Switch from evening to morning workouts
3. Stay within the 1320 - 1670 calorie range (ideal is under 1600)

    Get'em Mama!!!! I am soo proud of you!!! Morning workouts are the best because once they are done you dont have to worry about life getting in the way. AND you get extra calorie burns for the remainder of the day if you do more activities!!! Just keep Doin the dang Thang!!! ((Hugs))
