Time to Regroup and Restart Again

Yesterday was not a good day for me at all. I worked Thursday night as usual and Friday started my weekend off. Already had plans to visit my inlaws and cook for them as my mother-in-law has some very bad health issues. I started my day on only 3 hours sleep, didn't track or pay attention to what I ate. Also waited too long to eat and was unfortunately very hungry when I did eat. Needless to say I ate NO vegetables or fruits at all . NOT GOOD. Also knew my blood glucose would probably be very elevated, so I didn't check it. Didn't work out even 10 minutes. Was working toward the goal of doing something every day this week. Made it until yesterday. Going to walk today, so at least that will be 6 out of 7 days.

Praying today will be a better day. Going to spend the day with my sister and try to get her started on spark. She is not as big as I am, but for health issues, could stand to lose at least a little. That will be a little more incentive to keep me on track.

I really appreciate this site and will continue to use it in a positive way. THANKS to everyone on here for the motivation to keep going.

    Thanks everyone. One good thing this morning, my fasting glucose was 145. Still high, but not nearly as bad as I feared it would be. emoticon

I Hate sweat.

I have always hated to sweat. I use a fan even in the winter. I have decided I need to learn to love it. I sweat A LOT when I' m walking, working out etc. I tell myself sweat is good. I have to keep telling myself that because it takes a good while for me to cool down.

    Sweat is a blessing from God getting all the bad things removed from our bodies. Glad we have showers and wonderful , soothing hot water baths. emoticon

    Sweat is actually our body's way of cooling down. I really don't like to sweat either, but I do appreciate it. I bought a super-absorbant towel to mop off with when exercising. I have not tried it out yet but I hope it will make me more comfortable when I use it. I am pulling for you.

  I hate it too!! It makes me itch. BUT my cardiologist told me he wants me to sweat for 30 minutes every day. That is a tall order for me.....but it is a goal that I am working towards. We can do this! Maybe, eventually, we will learn to love to sweat....there's always hope!

    It's not sweat it's glisten. :) OK OK It's sweat! I don't like it either but it just makes the shower seem that much better, and how I feel after too! I have more energy to tackle the day.

Bad Day.

Yesterday was a very bad day for me eating. I have thought about it a lot today to try to figure out why. I haven't done that yet. I did well until dinner time and tyen went crazy until bedtime. Writing this just now ahd thinking more about it, I probably let myself get to hungry, ate bad at dinner time ahd just continued on my binge. I actually thought about it each time I ate wrong, but did it anyway. I have decided to write this blog to hold myself accountable for my actions. I woke up today feeling really bad emotionaly and physically. My blood sugar was up dur to the amount of carbs I ate, which was a lot.

I have started this day out right and plan to continue. This is something I not only have to do health wise, but I also really want to. I know I can do it, because I have been smoke free for over 2 1/2 years after smoking for 36 years.

    We all have a bad day now and again but what is important is what you do the next day. I ate way too much today but I am back on track and will make tomorrow a good day! Hang in there! emoticon

    I do the same thing to myself! I do great while I am at work but then my "beast" gets loose when I get home. Even though I tell myself I should stop I don't. I had wondered too if I was letting myself get too hungry. Part of it for me is boredom. haivng down time and not being busy. So, I had to come up with a plan to cage my beast. You can figure out what works best for you - for me it is staying busy - cleaning house; going for a walk. I also make myself drink a cup of water before I can eat anything - sometimes the water fills me up and I can stop myself from eating.

Hope you find a plan that works for you. Remember you are not alone in this!

    we all slip & then need to get up & get over it..
you did not stop smoking all in one day I bet.
I know it took me multiple attempts before I was able to lay down the smoking sticks.

Be kind to yourself & forgiving..
consider it a lesson & learn to apply the wisdom gained to future events !

    Each day is a new beginning. I is good to reflect on what happened and arm your self with a plan or strategy to help you the next time you feel like that. More importantly think about what led up to the behavior and try to prevent those situations.

Don't be hard on yourself. Just learn and keep going. It is all a part of the process. I am pulling for you. You can do it.

Congratulations on being smoke free! You have it in you to deal with the food too.

Challenge Day # 7.

My first blog.
The 2 things that made me smile today:
#1 I was able to do my exercise session for 30 minutes and continued to move the entire time without splitting up my session. Made me very happy.
#2 Seeing the encouragement I received on my facebook page for the accomplishment.

This is not an easy task for me and I usually give up after about 15 minutes, which was better than the 10 minutes I did before. Now I just have to continue to kee[ myself motivated each day.
