MOTORCYCLE RIDE TO BEACH (VIRTUAL)

Thursday, July 09, 2009

IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY. WE HOP ON THE BIKE AND HEAD FOR THE BEACH. WE LEAVE THE MOTEL AND GO TO THE GROCERY TO FILL THE SADDLE BAGS AND TRUNK WITH ALL KINDS OF GOODIES. ALL LOADED UP WE HEAD FOR THE BEACH . THE WIND IN OUR FACE. BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINE. THE PALM TREES ARE BEAUTIFUL ALONG THE ROAD. WE FIND A NICE SECLUDED PLACE ON THE BEACH. SPREAD OUT OUR BEACH BLANKET AND DECIDE TO TAKE A SWIM BEFORE WE EAT. WE GO IN THE WATER THE WAVES ARE JUST RIGHT TO CATCH AND RIDE. WE GO BACK TO THE BLANKET AND JUST COLLAPSE. WE REST A FEW MINUTES THEN GET OUT THE FOOD AND DRINKS. SOME NICE SWEET RED WINE TO GO WITH OUR GOURMET CHEESE. ALL KINDS OF FRUIT STRAWBERRIES, CHERRIES, WATERMELON AND CANTALOUPE. OF COURSE PRE PACKED AND CUT SO IT WOULD FIT IN SADDLEBAGS. NOW CHIPS AND DIPS AND DIET SODAS. WE REST THEN THEN GO FOR A LONG WALK ON THE BEACH AND COLLECTING SAND DOLLARS , ALL KINDS OF SHELLS AND STAR FISH. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR WE GO BACK TO THE BLANKET TAKE A NEEDED NAP. WE GET BACK ON THE BIKE. WE HUNT FOR THE MOST DELICIOUS SEAFOOD BUFFET. WE STUFF OURSELVES ON LOBSTER, SHRIMP, CRAB LEGS AND OF COURSE ALL KINDS OF DELICIOUS DESSERTS. NO COUNTING CALORIES TO DAY. WE GET BACK ON THE BIKE AND HEAD BACK TO THE MOTEL . STUFFED , SUNBURNED AND HAPPY.

I HEAR A LAWNMOWER OH NO I AM BACK IN AND HUSBAND IS WAITING ON MY TO HELP CUT GRASS. OH WELL THE BEACH WAS WONDERFUL THINKING ABOUT IT.

HIKING WELL NOT REALLY WALKING AROUND PROPERTY

Thursday, July 02, 2009

WELL OUR HIKE (WALK) STARTED WITH LETTING BABY DUCK OUT OF CAGE AND LET PLAY IN IN LAKE MISTAKE BECAUSE SONNY OUR BLACK LAB DECIDED LATER WHEN WE WEREN'T LOOKING DECIDED TO PLAY WITH DUCK. NO MORE BABY DUCK. HOW SAD . BUT WHAT CAN WE EXPECT HE IS A RETRIEVER YOU KNOW. WE CONTINUED WALKING AROUND THE LAKE LOOKING AT THE FISH NEST. COMMENTING THAT THE CATTAILS ARE GETTING BAD AND HOW TO GET RID OF THEM. (ANY SUGGESTIONS). WE THEN WENT TO THE BLACKBERRIES THEY ARE STARTING TO TURN SO IT WON'T BE LONG BEFORE WE WILL HAVE FRESH BLACKBERRIES. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! WE WERE PLEASED THAT WE HAD 5 NICE RIPE TOMATOES THE FIRST ONES OF THE SEASON. DELICIOUS. I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT A TOMATO PLANT I HAD TRANSPLANTED IT DIDN'T LOOK GOOD. BUT NOW IT IS LOOKING GOOD. WE THEN WENT OVER TO THE FRUIT TREES. THE PEARS ARE GROWING VERY SLOW. THE APPLES ARE ALL DOING GREAT. THE ONE LITTLE PEACH TREE THAT HAD PEACHES IS DYING BUT IT STILL HAS 2 OR 3 LIMBS THAT LOOK VERY HEALTHY . STRANGE. WE LOOKED THE GARDEN OVER. LOOKED AT MY FLOWERS . HUSBAND ASKED WHY MY SOLAR LIGHTS WERE NOT ON. IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. SILLY GOOSE. HE WAS JUST BEING SILLY.

WE TAKE THIS WALK AT LEAST ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK BUT WHEN I KNEW I WAS GOING TO WRITE ABOUT I LOOKED AT IT DIFFERENT WAY PAYING MORE ATTENTION TO DETAILS. I AM GLAD I COULD SHARE OUR MORNING WALK(HIKE) WITH YOU. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS KAY

I liked the fact that you walked your own property. I live on a farm also. It is a joy to walk the property and see the wildlife and terrain. Many times instead of walking the treadmill, I like to take our yellow lab for a walk. She loves to run everywhere while I walk.

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY SO I CAN GO OUT IN THE GARDEN AND PLAY. IT SO WET HERE IN SOUTHERN IN. THE GRASS IS GROWING AND NEEDS MOWING. THE WEEDS IN THE GARDEN WILL SOON OVER TAKE THE GARDEN. I NEED TO PLANT MORE SEEDS CORN, CUCUMBERS, AND CANTALOUPE . I NEED TO PLANT THE TOMATO AND PEPPER PLANTS I GREW.

I KNOW IN A FEW WEEKS I WILL BE WRITING WHERE IS THE RAIN. DO YOU THINK I COULD BOTTLE THIS THEN USE IT WHEN I NEED IT LATER.
ENOUGH COMPLAINING AND BACK TO PRAISING GOD. HE IS SO GOOD TO US. GOD BLESS AND HAVE A VERY GOOD DAY . I WILL WHETHER IT IS RAINY OR NOT . WHETHER I CAN WORK IN THE GARDEN OR NOT. emoticon emoticon emoticon

We cant get out of hte rain here in Maine either. I dumped out a trash bin that had at least a foot of water in it from the past week. My kids played in the nmewly formed pond in the backyard trying to row around in a kiddy pool that belongs to my grandaughter. And the garden, well I lost half the cucumber pants but the beans seem to love it. And the weeds have definately become the majority. But God is good all the time and He sends the rain, I trust He also will be sending us some sun and the rain to move on over to Texas.. emoticon

Hello! emoticon You can't get into your garden! May the Lord bless you and the garden! I had a few day to pull weeds and get stuff done in my garden! Yet the weeds are back and it is wet again! We do have cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, beans, and canalope planted and they look good! My tomatoes are knee high; they look great! I feel for those with to much or not enought rain; God bless you all!

We have had so much trouble with wild life in the past! The deer ate my beans and I lost all my garden one year! Now we have a small garden all fenced in and it looks good! Hope your summer is wonderful and full of good times in the garden! Jenny emoticon

We also are having to many days of rain lately, I think. We had a downpour again last night with tornados not to far away. And it is raining again this morning. But I was up early and did get my walk in, so I am happy for that. But all the flowers and gardens are soaked amd there is water standing out in the corn fields. We just need some of that good old sunshine again.
It is to bad we can't bottle it up and send it to others who are needing it.
Have a great day everyone.

You are getting what we were experiencing the last few days. Today the sun has come out and we are expecting a hot and humid day. I weeded a few hours last night, the weeds are trying to take over the garden. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

2ND GARDEN BLOG

Wednesday, May 27, 2009

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon I GOT THE REST OF THE GARDEN OUT BEFORE IT RAINED SUNDAY NIGHT. I HAVE PLANTED EVERYTHING I COULD THINK OF. HERE IS WHAT I CAN REMEMBER OKRA, SUGAR SNAP PEAS, REGULAR PEAS, LIMA BEANS, PINTO BEANS, SHELLIE BEANS, SPAGHETTI SQUASH, ZUCHNI, YELLOW SQUASH, CANTALOUPE , WATERMELON, EARLY SWEET CORN, AND CUCUMBERS. WE BOUGHT 6 LARGE TOMATO PLANTS BECAUSE MINE DIED . ALSO EGGPLANT AND GREEN PEPPERS. BECAUSE IT RAINED AND I COULDN'T GET IN THE GARDEN TO PLANT THE PLANTS . WE PUT THE TOMATO, EGGPLANT AND GREEN PEPPERS WHERE I WAS GOING TO PUT THE STRAWBERRIES BECAUSE WE COULD STAND IN THE GRASS AND PLANT THEM. HUBBY HELPS WITH THE BIG PLANTS AND THAT IS ALL THE REST IS MINE TO DO . I LOVE IT SO THAT IS FINE. SO WHEN I WENT TO PLANT MY STRAWBERRIES I DECIDED INTER CROP. A DEAR SPARK FRIEND GAVE ME SOME ONION SETS . SO THIS WHAT I DID DON'T LAUGH. TOMATO PLANT. STRAWBERRY , ONION SET STRAWBERRY AND THEN TOMATO WHEN I FINISHED WITH TOMATO I DID THE SAME WITH EGGPLANT AND PEPPER PLANTS. IT RAINED AGAIN TODAY SO IT WILL BE A FEW DAYS BEFORE I CAN FINISH PLANTING. I MORE TOMATO PLANTS AND PEPPERS COMING ON. I AM BEING MORE CAREFUL WITH THEM WHEN I HARDEN THEM OFF.

HAPPY GARDENING TO ALL MY GARDENING FRIENDS . THE ONES OF YOU THAT DON'T GARDEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE MISSING. THIS RAIN WILL MAKE MY SEEDS SPROUT . THAT IS A THRILL TO SEE THEM POP THU THE GROUND. OF COURSE THE RAIN GIVES ME A CHANCE TO CATCH UP ON HOUSE WORK YUCK YUCK emoticon

THINK FRESH VEGGIES emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

You are a worker! I don't plant a vegetable garden, but I do plant flowers. It has been a great rainy spring here. Everything is so green and lush.

I'm thinking fresh veggies now! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
