SIMPLE PLEASURES

I DIDN'T FEEL GOOD THE LAST DAYS. SO I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO A HOT BATH LAST NIGHT AND CRAWLING IN BED. EARLIER IN THE EVENING HUBBY AND I CHANGED THE BED AND PUT ON CLEAN SHEETS AND BLANKET. SO AFTER MY BATH I CLIMBED INTO THE BED . THE SHEETS FELT SO GOOD AND CLEAN AND COMFY. I WAS SO COMFORTABLE AND ENJOYING THE FEELING. I STARTED THINKING ABOUT SIMPLE PLEASURES WE MISSED BECAUSE WE TOOK THEM FOR GRANTED. I WANT TO START PAYING MORE ATTENTION AND ENJOY THE SIMPLE PLEASURES OF LIFE. I ASKED HUBBY WHAT SIMPLE PLEASURE HE ENJOYED. HE SAID SEATING ON THE FRONT PORCH ON A SUNNY MORNING WITH A CUP OF COFFEE . WATCHING THE BIRDS AND THE DOGS PLAY IN THE YARD. I ENJOY THAT ALSO.

    Petting one of my critters (I have 1 dog and 3 cats). Sometimes I just totally focus on petting them and thinking of how soft and sweet they are. They love me unconditionally and are always there for me. I feel as though they are God's way of letting me feel love even when my human relationships are distant.

    It is definitely important to enjoy the simple pleasures. One of mine is getting to wake up on the weekends on my own time, that gradual drifting into awareness and being able to lie still and slip into full wakefulness before I get up.

UP AND DOWN

FOR THE LAST TEN WEEKS IT HAS BEEN UP AND DOWN WITH EVERYTHING ESPECIALLY MY WEIGHT. IT HAS BEEN MOSTLY UP. BUT I WILL NOT QUIT. I WILL CONTINUE AND I WILL GET BACK ON TRACK.

THIS HAS BEEN A STRANGE SUMMER SO HOT AND DRY. MY GARDEN HAS FAILED SO NO GARDEN EXERCISE . I AM HELPING MY HUBBY WITH RENTAL MOBILE HOME REMODELING. SO THAT IS KEEPING ME BUSY BUT JUST HANDING HIM THINGS NOT A LOT OF EXERCISE.


THINGS WILL TURN AROUND AND I WILL SUCCEED. I WILL DRINK ALL MY WATER . STARTED DOING THAT YESTERDAY. I AM GLAD I FOUND SPARKS AND I WILL CONTINUE WITH SPARKS. MY SPARKS FRIENDS ARE SUCH GOOD SUPPORT . I WANT TO THANK ALL OF MY SPARK FRIENDS FOR EVERYTHING.

    Up and down is not fun but it is part of life. Life would be kind of boring if it was the same all the time. I know that with God's help and your Spark friends that you will achieve what you set out to do. The most important thing is "to believe" ...when we have a firm foundation (body, mind and soul) the results will follow. Guess we will keep cheering each other on today, tomorrow ..... emoticon

    I can't believe the Summer Challenge is almost over. I'm happy to see you joined the Fall Challenge as well. I have also had a case of ups and downs. Thankfully more downs than ups. We just have to keep reminding ourselves of the little steps that work together to create big change. You're on it with your water. You will gradually add the other steps until you begin to see movement in the numbers--scale and tape measure. You CAN do it!

I know it is hard and we may not see the numbers on the scale moving in the right direction all of the time but you are doing great because you are not giving up, you are continuing to move forward everyday...     Just recently was in a similar 'ping pong' experience then out of nowhere broke through to a weight loss - really cannot tell you why the sudden change but I'll take it!!

And it will happen for you just when you're about to give up. . .so don't!

I WENT TO LIVE MIND CLASS AND LEARNT SOMETHING. WE ARE TO DRINK HALF OUR BODY WEIGHT IN WATER OZ A DAY . IF YOU WEIGH 200 LBS YOU SHOULD DRINK 100 OZ OF WATER A DAY. I WAS TOLD IF WE DID THIS WE WOULD SEE THE POUNDS COME OFF. I HAVE NOT BEEN LOSING LIKE I WANT TO SO I AM GOING TO DRINK DRINK DRINK AND DRINK SOME MORE.

I CHALLENGE MY TEAM A NEW DAY, A NEW YEAR, A NEW ME TO DO THE SAME THING. I HAVE SET A CHALLENGE ON THE TEAM . LET'S DRINK AND LOSE . emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I've heard this too! I try to drink that much - which is DOUBLE the normal amount of water recommended!! Its hard sometimes, but I think I'll aim to do that again :) Good tip!!

MAYBE TOO MUCH COFFEE. emoticon THIS WHAT LOOKED LIKE BEFORE WITH ALL IT'S LEAVES. THE AFGHAN VIOLET DIDN'T SHED BOTH GET COFFEE. ANY IDEAS WHAT HAPPENED ??????????

BEEN PUTTING OUT MY VEGGIE GARDEN. I STARTED SATURDAY AFTERNOON. I GOT 3 ROWS OF CORN OUT AFTER HUBBY SPENT THE DAY GETTING IT NICE AND LEVEL AND LIKE SAND FOR ME TO PUT IT OUT. IT WAS LATE AND I WORE OUT. SUNDAY AFTER CHURCH I STARTED AGAIN I GOT MOST ALL THE SEEDS OUT. I PLANTED GREEN BEANS. DRY BEANS. PEAS. REGULAR AND SUGAR SNAP I KNOW I AM LATE GETTING THEM OUT. I WAS WORE OUT. SLEPT LATE MONDAY SO GOT A LATE START. I PUT OUT A TOW OF GREEN BEANS AT THE FIRST ROW NEXT TO HOUSE HOPING RABBITS WILL LEAVE THEM ALONE. I GOT FOUR HILLS OF WATERMELON PLANTED . I USED PLANTS WHICH I BOUGHT AND ALSO STARTED SOME NEVER PLANTED WATERMELON PLANTS BEFORE. I PUT A FEW SEEDS IN EACH HILL ALSO. I FOUND THE DATE I PLANTED SEEDS LAST YEAR JUNE 14TH SO I AM AHEAD OF THE GAME THIS YEAR. WE HAD LOTS OF WATERMELON UNTIL KILLING FROST YUMMY AND SWEET.
TODAY DAUGHTER CAME UP FOR DAD TO HELP HER WITH HER BOAT . SO I COOKED A BIG MEAL FOR US. I ONLY GOT 7 TOMATO PLANTS OUT TODAY. I DID GET MOST OF THEM MULCHED AND WATERED. STILL GOT CUCUMBERS , ZUCHNIN SQUASH, OKRA, CANTALOUPE, EGGPLANT, PEPPERS,AND MAYBE PUMPKIN. MAKES ME TIRED THINKING ABOUT. AT 67 THIS YEAR IT SEEMS LIKE IT IS TAKING ME A LONG TIME TO PLANT GARDEN BUT I LOVE IT.

MY GOALS. I STARTED 10 WEEKS AGO AT 193 LBS NOW 189 NOT REALLY WHERE I WANTED TO BE. BUT I WANTED TO BE BELOW 190 AND I HAVE REACHED THAT . I WANT TO GET WHERE I NEVER SEE 190 AGAIN. I WANTED TO GET MORE EXERCISE AND I AM DOING THAT. I WANT 10,00 STEPS A DAY NOT THERE EVERYDAY. I AM EATING BETTER. I DON'T MINDLESSLY EAT LIKE I USED TO. I WILL COMPLETE THIS CHAPTER IN MY LIFE. I HAVE ACCOMPLISH GETTING OFF 2 MEDS AND REDUCING MY DIABETIC MEDS A LOT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS KAY

    I don't have any idea - I've heard of "watering" with coffee, but since I don't drink it, I've never tried it. Looking it up, though, it does mention that over-water can make the leaves turn yellow or brown and fall off. It also mentions that it needs a lot less water during its dormant season.
