Gardening is great cardio. I finally got my flower garden in yesterday. Keep up the good work on your steps, I wear a pedometer too and log my steps each day on Spark.

Hi Kay! Glad you finally were able to start getting the garden in! I can almost taste that sweet corn! Wish I had room to plant some--I love it! Our garden is rather small though so that won't happen. We never did have any luck with our strawberry plants so gave up. I think we finally did solve our rabbit problem though so our garden is doing well. God bless! Kim

"There will always be yuck days, but I don't have to live in them."

I really like this - it's simple & straight to the point. Thanks for making me think. I now have something to say to myself when I'm having a "yuck" day.

Smile & Thank You!!

Every day has something in it to be thankful for...sometimes we just have to look a little more intently to find it, lol.
I hope you had a wonderful mother's day. I had a great visit with my mother and heard from 3 out of 4 of my little chickies....so life is good!

    Hi Kaylsynn,
Happy Mom's Day weekend to you! There's always something wonderful tucked away in each day isn't there? I'm going to enjoy my Mom's day weekend too. My kids are spread out all over the US - but my hubby and I get the pleasure of spending the day w/MY mom and our family.

Take great care,

K emoticon emoticon

My pedometer isn't the greatest in the world but it's pretty decent. I got it at wallmart for less than $10. Just an idea. :-)

And thank you for the sweet comments on my blog!

Remember that our bodies do not lose when we want them to do. Just stay honest to yourself and you will lose. The Lord will see you through to success. emoticon

I got a new pedometer last month and love it. It's an Omron Walking Style. It clips on the waist, but you can also put it in a pocket or in your purse. It shows steps, miles, calories burned, aerobic activity and it has a 7-day memory. I got mine at REI, but I'm sure they are available online, too.

I am using a Sportline TraQ Any-Wear Pedometer. I wear mine close to my heart. Things seem to fall off my waist since I usually do not wear a belt and I don't always have pockets. I can even wear a dress with this one. I was looking for a watch type too, but Dick's didn't have any that I liked(one you still needed to wear a device around your waist and it transmitted back to the watch) I have been looking at a Bow flex watch pedometer online..but can't find any reviews for it. Any way if you do get a watch pedometer let me know if you like it...I may be investing later, but right now I will stick with what I have...so many fitness gadgets gathering dust in my house!

Hang in there, we are only defeated when we give up. Giving up is a sure way to put on the pounds-been there and I don't want to go there again! I just got a pedometer and I like it. emoticon

UPDATE ON MY SEEDS

Monday, March 16, 2009

I STARED MY WINTER SOWN SEEDS. I HOPE IT IS NOT TOO LATE. I REALLY LIKE THAT WEB SITE IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN THERE I THINK YOU WILL ENJOY IT I LEARNED A LOT. IT IS WINTERSOWN.ORG I CLEANED OUT A FEW OF MY CONTAINERS OUTSIDE OF OLD PLANTS AND LEAVES. I STIRRED THE SOIL WET IT THEN SOWED THE SEED I WANTED . THEN I LAYERED WITH SOIL THEN COVERED WITH CLEAR PLASTIC . I CUT AN OLD TABLE CLOTH. I TIED THE LARGE POTS WITH STRING AND USED RUBBER BAND ON SMALLER ONES. THEN I MADE 2 FLATS OF VEGGIES. I BOUGHT JIFFY GREENHOUSE WHICH HAS PELLETS. I ADDED THE WATER TO PELLETS AND WHILE THEY WERE SOAKING UP THE WATER I POKED HOLES IN THE TOP AND BOTTOM WITH ICE PICK. ONE FLAT I PLANTED BROCCOLI , CABBAGE, BRUSSELS SPROUTS. AND KOHLRABI ALSO CAULIFLOWER. THE SECOND ONE I PLANTED DIFFERENT TOMATOES DELICIOUS, EARLY GIRL, RED PEAR AND MORTGAGE LIFTER. PUT A RUBBER BAND ON EACH END TO KEEP THE LID ON. THEN SET OUTSIDE ON PICNIC TABLE

NOW ABOUT MY AERO GARDEN. I THINK EVERY TOMATO SEED GERMINATED. THE PEPPERS HAVEN'T COME UP YET. I PUT A TOMATO SEED IN WITH THEM IN CASE THEY DON'T SPROUT. THE BOOK SAID TO THIN THE PLANTS WHEN THEY WERE 2 INCHES . SO IT WAS TIME TO TRIM. OH I REALLY HATED TO DO THAT SUCH NICE LITTLE PLANTS . BUT I DID I TOOK SMALL SCISSORS AND CUT OUT ALL BUT ONE.

WELL THAT IS WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY SEEDS. I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED. emoticon emoticon

Wow! You are into it! Sounds great--I don't have that much time with two little ones so will just plant my little garden. Did get out and clean out my beds and turn the soil in the veggie garden this weekend. Keep up the good work!
