Got my treadmill time and ST workout in again today. I went the full (actually over w/cool down) 60 minutes today. Yesterday I only went 30 minutes. I was sore. On top of that it was a crazy busy day with a big ladies event in the evening that I needed to get all dolled up for. It would have been so easy to come up with excuses as to why I could take yesterday off, but I knew if I did I would 1. REGRET it when I went to bed, and 2. have an even harder time today getting back to it. It seems that if I take a day off, it all goes down hill for a couple of weeks. So today, back on it for 60 minutes. It hurt still, but in a good way.

I did finally up my calories on SP. I kept getting these warnings that I needed to change my range because of how much exercise I was getting. I just couldn't imagine upping them though!! Well, I finally did earlier this week and wouldn't you know, I am down 4 pounds. CRAZY!! They know what they are talking about!! :-) I am really starting to notice my tummy slimming up a bit. Trust me, I have a LONG way to go with it, but any movement in the right direction is good movement!!

Tomorrow night my mom and I and the kids are going to go shopping for some clothes and stuff for our trip. I can't wait! I love shopping and I hardly ever do it for myself. But my birthday was a couple of weeks ago and I stashed all my birthday money and am going to use that. Shopping guilt free....does it get any better than that??!?!

Can you tell that I am excited for our family vacation?!?! emoticon

I have decided that my challenge for myself in August is going to be to really focus on my treadmill walk/run intervals. My ST is going great and I can't believe how strong I feel! I really think that burning some more calories on the treadmill might help me tone up a little more. I got a two piece swimsuit for my vacation. It is a tankini, so not the full on bikini, but still SCARY for me!! I really don't care to share my muffin top with the entire beach!!

The past two days I have gone completely out of my comfort zone on the treadmill for me. I walk for 3 minutes at 3.8 then run for 2 minutes at 5.5 for the first 30 minutes. I have decided for August, I am going to add on to that. Yesterday and today, I added on after that initial time, I continue to do the walk for 3 minutes at 3.8 but then I run my 2 minutes at 6. I do this up until 55 minutes. I really want to get that last one in to make it to 60...I will in time. I am listening to my body and by the time I get to 55 minutes, it is done with the running and I do a VERY LONG cool down. It comes up to be 4.5 miles by the time I am done. Today, I can honestly say that I completely dreaded getting on the treadmill. But I kept reminding myself how AWESOME I felt the rest of the day yesterday after finishing and I did get up there and just do it. I do feel great now. I am so glad I did it. So in the past two days, I have done 9 miles. I am feeling pretty proud of myself. Rewarded myself with my eggs. I crave eggs when I am done with a good sweaty workout. Weird?! I have eggs, almonds, and grapes. Yummy!! And I feel like it gives my body the protein to bounce back and make it through the rest of my day.

Pretty happy that I got my workouts in today. Work was/is crazy today and I was telling myself all morning that I just didn't have time today to workout. Finally, I got my butt off my chair and made my workouts happen. Did I lose out on some work, yes....but I have to MAKE time for my workouts. Some days are a lot harder than others, but all the more reason to push myself.

I can officially say that my vacation is NEXT MONTH!!! I can't believe how close it is. I have A LOT of work to do still. I need to push myself harder with my running training. I am doing a 5K with a friend at the end of the month and I really want to get it so that I can run the entire thing. Doesn't have to be fast, just running with no walking breaks. Yikes! Sounds scary! :-)

Still working on my kitchen part of getting healthy. I traded in a couple of eggs and almonds instead of my carb filled morning snack. Different, but seems OK. I am sure I will get used to it.

We are off to get school supplies...WHAT??? Doesn't seem possible that summer is almost over!!

340/1000 Push Ups
40 Miles/75 Miles
615/1000 Sit Ups

So my July Challenge for myself is over. It wasn't a success as far as meeting my goals. However, I find that it was still a success. Had I NOT challenged myself, I wouldn't have done 340 push ups in July, nor would I have done 40 miles in July, nor would I have done 615 sit ups (half way to my goal!!). So it was still a SUCCESS in that I did SOMETHING!!!

Starting tomorrow, I can officially say our vacation is next month!! It is getting so close and I still have so much to do health wise. Today I decided to try to cut out carbs from my diet. While some of my carb intake is OK carbs, I have WAY too much of them on a daily basis. I am going to try to substitute those with eggs and salads, and of course my very YUMMY, go to Chocolate Shakeology!!! My almost two year old and I have started having our Tropical Shakeology as a snack after dinner. He loves it!! He comes running when he hears the blender going, saying "YAY!!". I love it!!

We had my birthday weekend last weekend (34...YIKES!!! 40 is looking younger every year!!). I kinda overdid the food and kinda didn't work out at all. Ouch. Oh well, new week and I am going strong. August is going to be my month. I really feel like my exercise is in a good place and has become a part of my day-to-day routine. I feel off all day if I skip my workouts. My work to be done is in the kitchen. That's what I am going to work on in August. Happy last day of July!!!

Clearly my little challenge for myself is not going like I was hoping for! But on the other hand, at least I am doing something! I will just continue on with it each month and hope that as each month goes by, I can beat the previous month's goals.

Yikes! There are only 52 days left until we leave for vacation! We have been talking about this trip for over a year and I just can't believe that it is almost here! I am so excited to have a week with my family on the beach and watch the kids experience Disneyland and Sea World and all the other fun stuff we will experience! Plus, I get to see so much of my family that I haven't seen in over two years.

I got up super early this morning to get some work done early, only to find out our system was down. Ugghh, I was too awake to go back to bed so I got my workout done! It feels AWESOME having it done for the day! I may even try to squeeze a little extra treadmill time in later today. Today I did some more weights, HIITS 20, and 2.5 miles on the treadmill. I got my run intervals up to 6.0 today! My old school music helped get me going this morning!! :-)
