Thursday, May 09, 2013

Today I did: Stretch
My energy level was: 4. High

My calorie balance was: 4. Still burnin', baby!
My mastery of the movements were: 3. In line with the tape

My flexibility has improved. A lot, actually. I'm surprised that it has in only one week. It makes me happy though.
I still need to wash my car. I'll do it tomorrow. I have motivation, I'm going to a family I babysit for on Saturday so they can install the carseat for their son so I can pick him up from daycare and watch him until his mom gets home while his dad is out of town. I'm sure they don't want their 2 year old being in my dirty car! I don't want him breathing in the dust, either. lol.
At least it doesn't smell. My car always smells good. thank god for car fresheners...

I'm glad u cleaned ur car. I got organized many years ago through Pam Young and Peggy Jones "The Slob Sisters' and learned to ALWAYS take the stuff out of my car DAILY when I went into the house, so I didn't have trash pile up in it like I had in the years past. Another one of their sayings I live by is PICK IT UP DON'T PASS IT UP. I put things back where they go. There are car organizers that help with small items. We spend a lot of time in our cars, but don't think much about it.

Day 10: Getting there!

My water consumption was: 4. Enough to grow gills
My calorie balance was: 3. Burned more than I ate
My mastery of the movements were: 3. In line with the tape
What statement best reflects the overall workout: 4. Bring on the next one!

Getting better at those tricep kickbacks. They're hard, but I am getting it. Tomorrow is stretch day, but I'll get an extra boost of activity because I need to wash my car, inside and out lol. Some may say washing a car isn't hard work. Those people don't know how dirty my car is...especially around the wheels. It's bad. I don't think it's been washed in over 6 months, not even through a car wash. The inside is pretty gross too. Not trash and stuff, just a lot of dirt and grass from how rainy it's been. and dust, and fur because I have a fuzzy black leopard print steering wheel cover lol

I'm surprised I'm not getting more of an energy boost by now :/ I thought my energy levels would be soaring, but they're not. I even find myself yawning during workouts. Maybe I haven't given it enough time. Regardless, I'm still trekking through.

Also, I posted last blog that my mom wanted to go to a seafood restaurant for dinner. I made a compromise with her and told her that I would take her shopping instead. She understood completely. I'm just not ready to be in a restaurant yet, especially restaurants with fried food and free hush puppies.

The weather is starting to get nice again after all this rain. I'm ready to go to the beach, but I'm also ready to lose enough weight to fit into my shorts from last summer!

Day 9: What to do when eating out?

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Today I did: Thighs
My energy level was: 2. Low
My water consumption was: 4. Enough to grow gills
My calorie balance was: 3. Burned more than I ate
My mastery of the movements were: 3. In line with the tape
What statement best reflects the overall workout: 3. Very hard, but I did it.

Not feeling so well today. Was having bad stomach pain last night and this morning, but pressed on with the workout...Now I'm feeling nauseous and horrible...I probably shouldn't have worked out...Tomorrow is arms then Thursday is stretch so I should be okay...

My mom is insisting that my brother and I take her out to eat for Mother's Day at a local seafood place. They're expensive and unhealthy. I don't want to tell her I'd be more comfortable doing something else, because it's her day, but I really feel anxious about going. I'm scared I'll get off track. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I could do? This is a local place and it doesn't have nutritional information listed. and I really, really don't want to pay over 10 dollars for a salad I won't even like...plus, salads can be worse than a lot of food. I'm torn, I feel like I'll be letting her down if I don't go, but if I go I feel like I'll be letting myself down...

Broiled not fried any fish or shrimp, scallops. Get salad dressing on the side and dip the forkfuls in it for a little of the dressing.Enjoy the meal with the family!

Try anything that is steamed or broiled. As the server to put the butter or sauce on the side. A large shrimp cocktail with a side salad might work. Either avoid the bread completely or take one piece and place it far away from you. emoticon
