Making food tracking adjustments.

Thursday, May 21, 2009

I'm trying to get back into full swing of things. Between pain from the winter, seasonal depression, having dh back home and adjusting, the holidays and getting pregnant, I've been here but feel like I've been just floating around. I'm sure my sparks buddies have noticed it and so have my team mates.

But I'm making a turn around, pregnant or not!

Right now I'm looking at my food and realizing I'm doing pretty darn good with it. My original spark plan to lose 2lbs a week had me set at 1200-1550 cals a day. With being pregnant I've increased that to add in the about 300 calories that I need during pregnancy. Right now I'm just short of those 300 cals (by like 100 cals or so) but will increase them in the last trimester when the baby will be putting on weight and all.

I've been staying in range, eating high protein, lot's of fruits and veggies and getting in my carbs while also keeping my sodium low (except yesterday, I was just off all day long).

I'm enjoying my food, my snacks, my cravings and I'm not kicking my own rear for giving into them. I'm just happy that my weight is staying steady and the baby is staying healthy.

You're taking the right steps...I adjusted my food tracker also because I have increased my exercise level so drastically from when I started...I was losing the weight and becoming lean but I want the noticeable muscles (not to the point of being a muscle builder) but definitely defined.

Keep up the good work...you're keeping your eye on the right things! emoticon

Those Thighs of Mine!

Sunday, May 17, 2009

Dude,

They are huge! I've always been on the huge thighs, hips and buns deal but this is getting out of control. My pants are tight on my hip area but just right around the belly. It's always been this way and I'm sick of it.

I remember after having my 2nd child I went off and started doing standing abductions and adductions along with squats every time I had the chance (at the sink, in the bathroom and etc). I lost so many inches that it was not even funny. I loved it and it worked out so well for me that I'm gonna try it again.

I'm starting with 30 of each and hope that in the next 30 days I can reach 100 by doing 30 a day and adding another 30 each week (broken up of course). On the last week I want to do just the 100 for that week.

Hopefully after that I hope to continue on with it but want to be able to do them all at once so something like 50 in a row 2 times that day and then the following week adding to it so that I'm doing more and more. Of course I'm going to do what my body says and go with that.

At the doctors again.

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Well I went back to the doctors again for my 4 week check up. I saw my 4th doctor but she is leaving and I'll be seeing someone different next time. I know, 5 doctors in 3 months or so. Oh well, what can I do.

The baby is fine, my test all came back good but I got the pap done due to some concerns I've had for 3 years (since I had my last baby). The doctors keep claiming I have cyst and that they will "go away on their own" but they never have. I did some research after my last appointment 4 weeks ago and found out that the cyst could be caused by a bad stitch job.

Needless to say, I don't have any cyst but do have a bad stitch job. Really bad. They want to do surgery to repair it but it won't be done until 6 weeks (at the soonest) after I give birth. Of course I'm not at all happy with any of this. The doctor said that she doesn't know what they were talking about with "cyst" since you could see that areas were not where they should be and all. She was a bit shocked about the whole deal.

I of course feel that the doctors didn't want to admit to it. Who knows!

Well, that's the latest health wise, I'll have to blog about my sparking later on.

I've always had different doctors with the Navy, too, Hon.
I had bad stitches, too, and had to have repair, so don't worry about it but be glad you will be getting it done.

Night on NBC is Farrah Faucet's two hour documentary on her fight with Cancer. If you know someone this would benefit watching, tell them not to miss it. She is now terminally ill, but has fought it for three years. Thank you for your support of my Nathan's Cancer battle. He went this morning for his last treatment for this Round. Then in a couple of weeks he will have the fourth and final week. emoticon emoticon

Hey Kat -- sounds like constant excitement!! My sister never saw the same doctor thru her entire pregnancy. She had like 9 doctors -- CRAZY! Glad to hear that things are ok with the baby but sorry to hear about the potential surgery. Like you need anything else to worry about!

Take care of you and the little one!

Night of the Living Stiffs: My 2nd Screen Play!

Thursday, May 07, 2009

I actually finished this one! I thought I put up a blurb to what it's about, along with the poster I made. I hope you enjoy!

Hugs-Kat

Night of the Living Stiffs

From the mind of V.E.L Edgar (Writer of Zombie Dogs) comes another off the wall, B-movie filled with highly offensive images and dialogue that will make you wonder, “Who in their rightful minds would write something like this?”

For most men, sex is always on their mind. For Alec Lockwood, it’s the last thing he wants to hear after his wife leaves him due to his inability to “perform” in bed. Far from his British home in a California sexual dysfunction testing clinic, he meets Tad Rush, the Aussie hell bent on collecting the test drugs in order to become America’s all time favorite porn star. But before the two can set things right or take the path to their American dream, things start to become a bit twisted in the most sinfully silly way as they find themselves surrounded by fellow male test subjects who have become zombies with an deadly need to sexually please.

Filled with British comedy, a hot Aussie and a bunch of bloody sexually deprived zombie Yanks, Night of the Living Stiffs is sure to have you bent over in laughter or at least holding your ankles.

Make room in bed, the walking dead are up.

Keep me in your thoughts (2nd US for IUGR)

Monday, May 04, 2009

I go in on Tuesday to have my second US. On my last one (first one) the baby was measuring small by 4 weeks. I know that the US can give me 3 possible results.

My due date will stay the same.
My due date will change.
OR-
The baby has IUGR and there is a health concern.

I don't mind the due date issue (though I love to be closer to my date than further away! :P) but I am concerned with the IUGR issue which is why they are doing a second US to start with.

I did lose some weight and I'm still under my starting pregnancy weight as of now and know that could cause it along with blood sugar which I've not gotten the results for so far, plus a bunch of other underlying issues such as with my placenta, infection, and birth defects.

I really want a healthy, happy, safe birth and baby so keep me in your thoughts and wish me luck that this is nothing but a due date issue!

I would disagree that your not gaining weight would "cause" this. You have more than enough calories to nutrish your pregnancy, so you shouldn't be blaming yourself. This is about the pregnancy itself. If you have high blood pressure, or diabetes, that can be an issue, but you need to deal with this with your doctor. I'd say to continue to get exercise, so you have a GOOD oxygen supply and help your pregnancy in that issue, and drink plenty of water to keep your body flushed of toxins. emoticon
