Jerkwater Press

It has been confirmed, Katrinia17 is expecting a baby this summer. "Yes I am pregnant, yes I'm happy, and if you don't know how this happened well then,Iím sorry, but I think your mother should be the one to explain this." she has told many inquiring friends since the recent leak of the news.

The pregnancy has been confirmed by a constant need to pee, sore boobs and a positive first response test. This will be the fifth pregnancy for Kat, though her second one ended in a miscarriage, but still it should be assumed that she knows what she got herself into.

Kat has often spoken about expanding her family, "I have always wanted four or six children, not five. I just can't handle odd numbers." she stated: "Even after my traumatic birth experience with my last baby I still dreamed of having another. That dream is now very much so a reality and I'm so excited. I haven't even thought of my past experience except on the terms of saying, "This time itís going to be better, Iím wiser and stronger now." I truly believe that."

Kat is currently focusing on having a healthy pregnancy. "I had several issues with my last one and I hope to find new ways to cope with them if they should occur again. Hopefully diet and exercise will help." She said, referring to her pelvic condition which started around 12 weeks during her last pregnancy. "I know it can happen again but hopefully my body and mind will be stronger and more capable of handling it if it does return."

"We havenít informed the kids yet and wonít until I reach my second trimester. Dh though, his only concern is with the doctors and my pelvic. We really, had a bad experience with the military doctors and are trying to avoid a repeat." She said while commenting on how the rest of the family was handling the news. "Other wise Dh is excited and extended family is clueless like normal. Iím planning on informing them soon though and I plan on keeping friends and family informed throughout the pregnancy and beyond."

I hope all goes well and you keep your weight down. I had high blood pressure and realized now I should have really worked on my weight more and not let myself gain so much. I do hope you nurse your baby, too and that will help you drop the weight after the pregnancy.

If you don't have names in mind, I suggest MAGGIE for a girl, as she's a tough girl, who can hold her own. (Yes, that is my dd name.)

Computer back up!

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Yes my computer is back up! It was actually the video card that was messing up. But on the plus side, I have a "newer" monitor! I hated not being around, I was in a slump and wasn't eating right. Though I wasn't going way over on cals and stuff, I wasn't eating my fruits and veggies and it showed. I was always hungry and wanting to shove food in my mouth. Over the weekend my calorie count was sooo low and then okay on Monday and way high on tuesday and today. Such a shame since I know a lot of sodium was in that. It will show on the scale. Oh well, time to jump back on and do what I know needs to be done.

Don't look back on the past if it is going to cause damage to your future. Your lifestyle change doesn't start tomorrow or the next day or next week...it starts at the next meal! That is how I do it! So you made a few mistakes...next! Your next meal starts fresh. You can do it!!

Glad to have you back!!!!!

No computer monitor!

Monday, January 12, 2009

I just wanted to let you all know that my computer monitor is out! Dh is working on the other computer but it seems that the monitor on there is also having issues. I'm not sure when I will be able to get onto sparks. Right now I am using the school computer and will try to come in once a week (if it should take that long) and check in.

Keep sparkin!

We now have 4 computers in the house, but when we only had one and the monitor went out, I sent my husband to get a new one and he came back and said "WOW, with the credit card, it sure didn't take but a minute to get a new one." Right. We DON'T have credit card bills, but the kids used the computer for school work, so I just couldn't be without it. Now the four of them all have their own computers, so it works well. Just I am the one who has to use what is available in the house. emoticon

Sparking...but what about the house...

Friday, January 09, 2009

Well, I feel like I got sparks under control but by doing so, everything else seems to be lacking. I'm hoping to get a bit of it under control through this weekend. I know I wanted to clean my bathroom (I collect bathroom stuff, lotion and the such and I just got to get rid of some of it), clean out my car which I haven't done in weeks due to snow and rain (though I did get the whole back section done today!), laundry which I finally got washed and dried but need to put away, and finally, the girls old room. I wanted to do all this throughout the week (along with "finish reading my nano novel" which I did!) but it just hasn't happened.

Hopefully I can get some or most of it done in the next two days and feel like I've accomplished more.

I can so realte! I let the housework pile up till yesterday, and my car, oh lets not even talk about that.

But I found I joined a challenge on the message bars of doing 15 minutes of housework a day, and I set the timer in the house for 15 minutes and while I am doing mine, I make the boys clean their rooms and bathroom for the same amount of time, becasue I skipped a few days, I made up for it by setting it twice in early and late morning, twice in afternoon and once in evening, boys were not happy but my house looks a lot better. Using the timer makes it not as overwhelming for me. emoticon

I know it will WAIT for you to do it. As my mother would say "Well, I know the Maid isn't going to show up and get it done."

Kids Classes

Thursday, January 08, 2009

Today the kids had their first set of new classes at the YMCA. The girls are taking Cheerleading and the boy is taking toddler gym. I'm working out during the girls class which is later in the day and during the boy's class, I'm just chasing him around. I did get to bounce around on the trampoline! It was fun and a lot of work though I found out later that no adults are allowed on it. ack...

I love playing on and with kids toys. If we as adults never loose our joy of playing we will forever stay young! I am a fire believer.

I bought a 14 foot Trampoline at SAM'S CLUB some years ago, and my kids wore it out. We had to take the top to a Sailboat shop that did repair and have it sewn. Finally, my husband had a cook-out one night and got the embers to near it and the next day, saw burnt holes in it. SO, he had to go buy another new one. That lasted more years until everyone out grew it. BUT, it sure was worth the money.
