I have five more days to go for my challenge. I love doing a 21 days make it habit challenge and I think that this work out challenge is going to become my new habit! It will be a total of 22 days if I can make it until the 1st. I wish I could go longer but I just don't have the means. I've been doing everything from swimming, walking, hiking and working out at home. I'm not just doing the elliptical but I'm adding in tons of other things too and it's becoming a challenge as my body adjusts to the different activities.

I know it's going to be different to go back to the regular work outs but hopefully there will be a new challenge waiting for me.

An Update

Just wanted to give a bit of an update since I have been posting to my journal and not to my blog. I have been working out daily and have even managed to gather kids and head out for nightly walks. Today we went to the Y and got back 7 mins before bedtime. We really are working on this together! I tracked my 1 mile walk and I think I only did 8 laps...maybe an extra one but I got them all in at 21 mins. I want to take that down to 16 mins total. I should have been close to that since I was doing half a lap in 45 secs but when you add in the baby and the kids and all...I have been doing great on water, as if I never left the stuff!

11 days of working out straight! Yay me!

I am doing pretty good on not snacking though I could be doing better. I need to add in veggies cus for once, I'm not getting in the fruits and veggies but I'm getting in tons of grains/carbs/fiber-Eating Kashi like crazy!

Speaking of Kashi, I've been trying to get my activation code through email and have gotten nothing with both email accounts, anyone have a clue, had this happen before, on the site and can help? Please let me know.

Ps: the baby can run! none stop for 4 laps!!! Wheew

Family Blog2

This is only our second family blog but we have been working out with each other for a while now. Last week we had two days at the pool, Thurs and Fri Then on Sat. we went to the Y and worked out on the machines. Sun. we went on a night walk and Monday we went back to the Y. Baby had play time in the nursery and the girls did a walk while I went on the trainer. Today we went on a nature trail walk and went without the stroller. This means that even the baby made the .5 mile walk with out being carried. I was so happy and so surprised. I walked at a pace that was pretty decent and he spent most of the time running and speed walking to keep up with us. We did great on food, getting in plenty of fruits and veggies but I'm having a hard time tracking water since the girls are in school and all.

Overall it's been a great week for us and I hope it only gets better.

Day 4

Day 4 sucks...

Woke up with a wet diaper on my pillow and in my face and cold water being dumped on me. AF came and after the water bath in bed, I was forced to run down the stairs, stepping on something and falling the rest of the way down. After picking myself up off the wooden floor and scraping my face off of the girls door, I managed to get to the bathroom to clean up, dry up and complain about my three newly broken nails. By the time I was back up the stairs I was informed that the computer just turned off. I would spend most of the day with it just turning off and me trying to find the answer. By this time my head is pounding and I'm half a sleep due to the fact that I went to bed around 2:30 am the night/morning before. Finally I notice the baby is asleep, late due to the fact he hit the back of his neck on the corner of the desk and also busted his lip, in short, I canceled pictures for today and didn't let him sleep until I felt it safe, once asleep I decided to see if I could aim for day three and instead failed miserably. Soon as I got to the door with him, he was awake. That's okay, after all that work and the drive to the Y, it was closed. We instead did a speed walk to the store which is a mile away. Bad news, didn't bring water, it was cold and all up hill, and I forgot to time it.

I did get a work out in...you can't say that I'm not determined.

    OMG ! what a horrid day ! It's probably a dogy power supply in the PC, I'd send my hub around to do it but I know you are at least 9000 miles away. ( so I don't think he appreciate that as he's already in bed)

Day 3

I actually got lucky today! The baby feel asleep in the car and didn't wake up as we went into the Y. Since the nursery was closed, this meant that I got to work out while he slept. They have a family room and you can bring kids in. So not only did I get to do that but I saved the nursery fee and got to work out longer. 2.50 an hour with nursery and I actually only get about 45 mins worth of cardio when you add in the get there, get back aspect of it all. Today I did 35 mins on the trainer and 35 on the bike. He just woke up when I was going over to the treadmill so I didn't get that in but still, more than I've ever been able to do!
