I got a call from the doctor and EVERYTHING IS NORMAL!!!!!

It was a scare for me to see my doctor's number show up on my cell phone yesterday afternoon because she told me on Monday that if I don't hear from her in two weeks, the results are normal.

Low and behold the number flashed on my cell. I prepared myself for the worst and picked up the phone so I can weigh out my options and she just told me my results came out normal.

Now I have absolutely no excuses why I have a hard time losing weight and must work harder to get it off.

And with that my dog is whining at me to bring him for a walk right now. Cheers!

The results are in from the doctor and HAPPY!!!!

Last week I had my blood drawn for blood work and wasn't able to see my results until my physical yesterday. I was worrying about it since it was my first blood work EVER and both sides of the family has SEVERE cases of diabetes and high blood.

The results are in and am VERY Happy.

Blood pressure was 110/80.
Sugar levels are normal.
Cholesterol total was nice at 135 with LDL at 57.
Liver is still happy with me even though the countless number of beer I drank in the last month due to friends/family buying me drinks for belated birthday.

My thyroid test was askew saying its LOW by .010 points but I was sick a month or two ago and my thyroid glands were swollen. So my doctor took another blood test, She told me if I don't hear from her in 2 weeks, my thyroid is normal. I'm praying I wont hear from her in the next two weeks.

Overall the doctor says I'm really good...just need to lose 40-45 lbs.

But with all of your support, I know I can do it.

After hitting the gym for an hr last Monday, I had post workout cravings. Me and the boyfriend decided to go to McDonalds because he wanted something to keep him up at night because of project deadlines. I chose the 4 Piece Chicken Nuggets happymeal and replaced the fries with sliced apples and opted for milk instead of soda.

This was a big move on me because I am a HUGE fan of salted fries but that craving had been satisfied by the chicken nuggets. The apples were more tart than what I wanted to be but its okay. As for the drink...the lady forgot to give me my drink and we got our food through drive through and didn't noticed till I got home. I shrugged that off. Anyways, I haven't had regular milk for a long time. My parents always gets Lactaid milk and most likely if I were to get the regular milk, I would be racing to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Blood pressure reading was 110/80. I'll take that. emoticon

As for weight, I'm back to 180. I'll take that too because last week when I weighed myself at a friend's place after eating which I shouldn't do, I weighed in at 184. Not going to let me down because I'm back on track on the gym and feeling good.

The doctor wants me to go down to at the 135-140 range for my height which seems a bit daunting for me, the girl who yo-yos between 173-185 for the past 4 years.

I didn't have a thorough physical exam since this appointment was just for my cold 2 weeks ago. Will have my blood work done on May 11th and the actual physical on the 18th. Hopefully by the 18th I will be down by 175 or 176 if I can keep on track with my exercise regime.

I also had the rash on my eyelids checked out and the doc said I just have sensitive skin and need to switch my makeup. So I'm looking for some hypo allergenic eyeshadow. Any recommendations?

    You can find the hypo-allergenic makeup at any drugstore chain and probably K-mart or Wal-mart too. Pretty much wherever they sell makeup.

WTG on your blood pressure!! That is a winner for sure!

You can lose that weight if you only remember, one day at a time, one pound at a time.

After a 3 week hiatus from the gym due to illness and such, I finally went to the gym!

I had the urge to pick up where I left off but I had to keep telling myself I need to take it easy and build up from there since the body had been healing a bit. I'm glad I did because when I woke up this morning, I didn't feel any soreness that I thought I would have. There is a little bit but nothing too severe.

I'm also happy because when I checked my blood pressure yesterday morning. It was pretty good.115/70. Really glad because both sides of my family has high blood and mom's side has diabetes. I've never checked for diabetes before but I have a doctors appointment on the 24th and they will check by then. I'm not too worried since I've been eating cleaner more or less in the past year.

I can relate to feeling better when your able to excercise again after time out from illness or injury. Well done for not over doing it.
