Well, so I REALLY didn't get started on my weight loss journey until June when Erica and I realized we were members at the same gym.... then we started exercising regularly... as a bonus, we both LOVE taking the classes offered... so it is awesome!
Today is August 17th and we are in our 10th week of working out and I've lost 10 lbs. I'm simply amazed. Add those 10 lbs to the 6 I lost on my own in January and I'm down 16 lbs for the year.
The working out is a huge part of my weight loss but since I'm spending so much time in the gym it makes me want to track my food. Like I don't want to do all that hard work and then over eat. I mean, what's the point?!
I hit a plateau for like 3 weeks where no matter how much I worked out and what I ate, I didn't lose. That was a hard 3 weeks but I just kept pushing through because I knew eventually, I'd start losing again. I lost 2 lbs that 4th week and then 2 lbs this week!
I should take some pictures of me.... the shorts I'm wearing in the blog from January don't fit me anymore... they literally hang off of me. Maybe I'll do that when I lose 5 more pounds :)
Now that Erica and I have our schedule down, we've also started coming a bit earlier on Wed nights to get some extra cardio in before class..... so instead of working out for an hour a day... we are working out more like 1.5 hours.... It just seemed natural to us to do more and it doesn't feel like a chore. We enjoy it! We are even discussing coming half an hour earlier to all our classes.
I also try to take walks with my baby girl in the stroller in the mornings before it gets to hot.... I started this last week and I think it helps me lose even more.. it isn't a brisk walk because I'm pushing the stroller but it isn't a slow walk either... just a stroll :)
So I hope in a month I can post and be 5 - 10 lbs lighter than I am now.... I'm only 10 lbs away from pre-pregnancy size. I'm very excited about getting there again. :)
