Realization

Here it has been almost a year and I have only managed to loose 12 pounds and keep fluctuating at that. I haven't stuck to any of my goals at all. I am tired of running to food....it solves nothing and only later makes me feel bad. I need to turn my life around and really do this for me. I am going to start by setting aside time for me to workout and get back to feeling good about myself without running to food. I have decided to start working out after dropping my daughter off at school in the morning and then doing my household chores for the day. NO MORE EXCUSES!!! I need to do this for myself, first and foremost, but also for my family. Let's see what today brings, think I will make a to do list for myself and see what I can accomplish.

    Doing your exercise in the morning may give you a boost of energy for a bit. That to do list might be easier to tackle. :)

Think about this... You lost 12 pounds this past year, you are going forward.... You didn't gain them. Making this a lifetime requires patience, tenacity and willpower. You can do it. You have a lot of support here on SparkPeople who are doing it right along with you.

    You can do this. Set some reasonable goals to get yourself started. Your first step of working out in the morning is good. Do this in the morning - don't let yourself get distracted. Once you get in the habit of doing it you will find it easier. Make sure to set some of your goals small enough to accomplish early. That way you can see progress and help you get motivated. Good luck, you can make this work.

Today it Begins

Woke up at 4:00 AM, Ate Mac and Cheese and Meatloaf...then realized not a good idea...So I decided today starts a new...So I found this website, thought it might help. Then started by figuring out my goals, then I looked around my house to realize it was in total chaos...then the stress hit...instead of running for the candy in the house, I picked up an apple and found myself also yelling at my husband...man I hate stress...After lots of thought I realize I can't just let loose on him whenever I'm stressed, so Today also starts my new way of dealing with stress...writing, exercise, walking, listening to music, or a nice hot shower to get away...these are going to be my outlets.
