Tomorrow's meal plan...

I love Greek Yogurt for breakfast. I love its clean, tart flavor and the way it holds me over until lunch. Lunch will be 2 hard boiled eggs and split pea soup, with some sort of veggie. I plan almonds for an afternoon snack. I might have bran cereal if I get too hungry. Dinner...I am thinking a nice big huge green salad with grilled chicken.

Source 0 folks are now making Greek yogurt with fruit, which is 8 gms of protein per serving. I am adding hemp seeds and extra fruit to that for my snack and am actually enjoying it.!

13.5 pounds lost on my thyroid diet

I am in my ninth week (I think) of my thyroid diet and have lost 13.5 pounds. Only 1.5 pounds until the 15 pound mark!

Thyroid Diet: 5 weeks and 9 pounds lighter

I am ending the 5th week of my thyroid diet, and am 9 pounds lighter. I am so grateful for this program...this is the first and only thing that has worked for me for years. The good part is...it works!!! The hard part is...I am still (!) going too low on carbs and giving myself headaches. But I am figuring it out.

    Great job! I am interested, what is your thyroid diet? I have hypothyroidism....do you? I take levothyroxine, and am trying to stay away from foods that I NOW know are not good for me, like goitrogens and soy...but still learning. I am intrigued! Wow...9 pounds...YAY! emoticon

My next goal...750 fitness minutes per month

Actually, my goal is 1000 fitness minutes per month. But my knees/back are still a bit of a challenge, so I am shooting for 750 fitness minutes per month as an interim goal.

I was kind of discouraged...I was really hungry and snacked a bit more than I had intended on almonds and cheese...about an ounce of almonds and about 2 ounces of cheese...still came in at the high end of my calorie range though.

It is my birthday today - and 8 pounds lost!

It is my birthday today. And, I have lost 7.8 pounds as of today! This is day 27 of my Thyroid Diet, which is working incredibly well. After 3 years of trying everything, I am finally losing weight and that is a great birthday present.

Thanks to the kind SparkPeople coach who pointed me this direction, and to the Thyroid Diet Revolution book for a program that works for hypothyroid people like me.
