You are a bubbly ray of sunshine!! I'm so excited for you that your BMI will soon be on the DR's chart. emoticon

It will be lonesome for you when Jeff leaves (I know because I live alone) but makes sure to fill your days with a lot of activity (exercise) and tyhe time will go faster!

Try to get out more and your anxiety will decrease!

And remember all your friends emoticon are rooting for you!

I love your new "SPUNK" emoticon emoticon

I'm so excited to see this! This was a great surprise for me to see when I got to work! :D Just in the first few seconds, just such a wonderful change and this burst of energy from you that I freakin love!! emoticon

Yay for a emoticon, what a great gift! I am so proud of you for walking while she's riding, and it must feel like awesome family time instead of "exercise" which I think is great. Disguising exercise helps me move sometimes when I really rather wouldn't. emoticon

I LOVE that you said you are feeling more like YOU! That is what I like to hear. I can't act like I know you super dooper well since I've obviously never met you in person, but I really felt when I clicked on this video that you were feeling like yourself, and I had a feeling this was the "awesome happy Kassie" that all your friends and family know and love, and I'm so happy to see you feeling so good! emoticon

I think any loss during the holidays is great! I know what you mean about wanting more, but it's hard with the holidays for everyone, so I'm glad you still had a loss woohoo! :)

You are going to get on that chart and you are creep your way right on down, I am so proud of you! emoticon

You sound so much better. I am happy for you. It is so great you are getting out of the house more. I know that will really help. You look better in the face. You look healthier. Just remember to take time out for yourself. That is hard when you are a mother of a young child, but you will have to make sure you do it. I wish the best for you in the New Year.
I am starting my Water Aerobics and fitness exercising class back this Monday and I am adding an arthritis exercising class in during the week. My classes were closed during the Holiday. So, I can't wait to get started back. I managed to hold steady during the Holidays which is really different than I have ever done in the past. I feel good about that. I usually gained 8 to 10 lbs. every year during that time.
Hope to heard from you soon. So, glad to see you now. It made my day. (LOL) Hugs Judy

Kassie, You are thinking the right way about why or how you would be big even if you are taking meds for your problems. Enjoy the weight lost and have FAITH in yourself that you are going to address your problem of overweight. you were handling it even when you didn't know your problem.
Like i said have faith in yourself. You were really going through a rough time while you did not lose weight. It will be a piece of cake (forget Cake) . LOL). Think of this the way we all are suppose to think it is a healthy lifestyle. We need to eat correctly to prolong our life. My husband is not over weight and looks and act so healthy, but he just found out that he in in danger of a stoke or heart attack. He did not know it. He has high blood pressure and high cholesterol. So, these people that are taking to you may be in bad shape and don't even know it. My husband told me all the time it was all in my head. That I would be skinny if I really wanted to be. Now he sees that your head can tell you that you are healthy and you could be gone in the same minute.
Thanks so much for vbloging. It has reminded me see that I don't need to feel like I am dieting . that i need to live life healthy to not only add years to my life but to add life to my years.

Have a Merry Christmas !! I care for you so much and I feel your confusion over all of this. You are going to pull that "Old kassie", out of you and use all the things you have learned to live a great healthy life. I am going to do the same. We will be there for each other. Hugs, Judy

I totally relate to what you are saying in terms of "yay I lost 50 pounds, but I'm still the fat girl", that is exactly how I feel. I feel a lot better and people will tell me how great I look, but I only look "great" in comparison to my old self, I don't look great in general so it's hard.

I am sorry you have to deal with so much criticism, you are a tough cookie because I would not be able to handle it!! Even one of the comments on your last blog rubbed ME the wrong way and it has nothing to do with me. ICK!!! emoticon emoticon

And I love the guest appearance from the little cutie!! emoticon

I hope you feel 100% soon! emoticon

I would encourage you to take a lot of picture of yourself to help you get use to the fact that you are losing weight. Pick who you tell about your weight loss efforts. You need friend and family who will support you. Don't feel guilty about your weight loss. Getting health issues corrected is all that matters. Just think of how your body feels with the weight off you already have. I can tell you your energy will only improve as the weight comes off. Take it one day at a time. And I would take advantage of thrift store and just buy a couple of items at a time. That way you won't have a lot invested in your clothes. So take care of your flu and hope you get better soon.
Good luck

    Kassie,

Take what you can get with the weight lost while it last. I have friends that has the same problem you have they really lost weight when they first started. they looked fabulous. Then they didn't eat correctly and they are big again. So, yes you will have to get with it and eat correctly and exercise to be able yo be healthy and keep the weight off. it is so great that you are thinking of this. My friend didn't and was really happy with the weight lost. It was so sad to see her big again. I think you have learned what to do. Maybe that was the reason that you went through all the stuff you went through before they found this out . You know what to do to live healthy. You have a head start on a lot of other people out there with your problem, because when you get to normal you will have tools to either lose more or keep from gaining more. There is always a positive side to most things. Wishing you good health. I hope by now you are well and on the go. Hugs, Judy

You really need to stop eating junk food......don't fool yourself into thinking that you can still loose weight on junk food.....it may be happening now but bodies do adjust. It is good that you loosing weight but you need to not eat that high fat food as it effects things you cannot see.

Drink water not pop
Eat cereal, soup, toast etc vs. fast food

Being sick is not an excuse for eating poorly and you need to understand that your body working with the new medication.....this could stop tomorrow and slow down......be ready with good eating habits and excercise to keep getting smaller.

Sorry to be blunt

I am so sorry you are sick, that is terrible. emoticon emoticon

It is so frustrating that people don't notice it or think you are exaggerating. I think most people think 50 pounds in 7 weeks sounds like a lot, and it is, but they don't understand the medical reasons and whatnot that is going on with you. I had to lose 50 pounds from 270 to get people to notice that I've lost weight, so just know it will happen in time. :)

I am glad the weight is melting off of you because you were working for so long at it and not seeing the results that you EARNED. And Heather totally said it, you will have plenty of time to struggle like the rest of us poor saps, so please enjoy it while it is melting away! emoticon

You are doing great, let it come off fast! Dont feel bad that us common folk are slow losers! why? because later on once you get to 250 and below where I'm at then it will be hard! mauahahaha. And I get people not noticing but it takes time, not only that but we never see your whole body on here just your upper half. And me ive lost almost 30lbs and I literally see myself as fatter....even looking back on videos and stuff I look the same and actually bigger now in some, I think its just because the inner layers of fat go first and stuff shifts around. sounds funny but its true! Screw ppl, this is about you! who cares! DO NOT let them get in your head!!! You have to be reminded by yourself that you ARE losing and its gonna get harder but that you have a huge headstart that was easy. OWN IT! Get a couple new outfits if you need to and then donate them or sell them online.

    A few things -

The doctor is right, you WILL lose a lot of weight very quickly at first, don't be discouraged by that. And people won't WON'T realize that's true because you have so much to lose. It took me losing 50-60 lbs for people to notice. They will notice eventually. I go through phases where I lose a lot of weight really quickly, but then I slow down a little bit - then speed up! And yes, thyroid medicine WILL cause you to lose weight! If you've been deficient in thyroid hormone slowing your metabolism) then giving you that hormone is going to help. And yes, your body will adjust to your new thyroid levels, but it won't mean that you'll stop losing when your body gets use to the new level. You'll just have to stop eating all the junk food ;)

As far as clothes - YES, get SOME new clothes! I buy 2 pairs of jeans at a time since you go through them a lot faster than shirts. And shirts are easy. I bought size large shirts for the past summer (they won't be good for next summer though! Some of them will be though!). And for winter, I've bought medium. They won't be good for next winter though! Some of these mediums are starting to feel lose (which I just refuse to believe!) But definitely reward yourself with some smaller clothes, then get others at goodwill since you'll be going through the shirts a lot quicker than I have! You might need to buy smaller shirts twice in one season!

Keep up the great work and enjoy the loss!

My grandma used to give me saltines and Sprite when I had the flu. Maybe get diet Sprite so it won't be as bad. I'm sure the drastic weight loss is due to the vomitting and irritible bowels due to your illness. I wouldn't count it as a true weight loss until you are back to your regular routine a week or so after you recover.

I love to see you so happy and upbeat and I love your smile! You are looking fabulous! emoticon 51 pounds down is a huge accomplishment and I am So happy for you! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon It is melting off you like butter because you have been working your butt off for the longest time and this medicine is allowing your body to get back to where it should have been from all your hard work and I am just SO proud of you! I know without a doubt, the way you are rocking this you will be 60 or 70 down by the time you go back to the doctor. Isn't it crazy, I used to dread going to the doctor, and now it's kind of a fun game to see how much we can lose by the next time we go back. You are a rock star! emoticon

Thank you SO much for the kind words, I am trying to step it up and get back to business. My loss between 50 lost and 60 lost took SO long and I wish I had tried harder to break through a plateau, but I'm now I'm back to business. emoticon

Your upbeat attitude is what is keeping you on the weight loss program! emoticon emoticon On your loss of 51 pounds! That is so wonderful and such a short time.
I'm fairly new to your blog so I think I missed what was wrong with you physically. Would you mind sharing that with me? Was it your thyroid being too low?
Mine was too but after increasing it it still hasn't helped me loose any weight!!! DARN! Keep up the good work emoticon
