    I am so excited that hubby surprised you and was able to change his flight. I am SO excited he made you breakfast in bed and I'm so glad it was a good day!

I knew that you knew what you were talking about this week, you did EXACTLY what you said. You said by talking about what you could see happening, you would be less likely to actually follow through with it. You are a smart girl, and you know yourself and I am so proud of you! :D

We love you because you are such an amazing person. I get so excited for your vlogs, and when you miss a day I have withdrawals. You give so much of yourself to us everyday and you inspire us everyday! :D

    I'll be your friend! I know exactly how you feel...I have not felt attractive for a long time. I am single now..but it caused a lot of issues in my relationship with my ex (my son's father) but we had many many more not fixable issues.

    WTG Kassie!! Hope you continue getting up and moving more and more everday! This is BIG progress and you should be very proud!! The more you do it the better you're going to feel and the weight loss will follow. And when that starts happening, the more confident you'll become. I believe men find confidence Sexy!!! So girl, get up and get your sexy back!! LOL
I also was a millitary wife (many years ago, beginning to tell my age here LOL ), but one of the things I found on base was a Mom & Tots playgroup. This really helped. I met other new Moms, kids got to socialize and it gave me something to do besides sit around the house. Utilize any and all resources you have available. If they don't have a playgroup, then start one!
As for hubby, I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to have to be deployed, but I do thank him so very much for his service. I'm sure he's just trying to detach himself. It has to be hard to leave your loved ones to go do his job. Just try to support him and love him like there's no tomorrow!!

    Hi Kassie,
I think you are making the right choice to not "mommy" your husband. You will be much more peaceful as well.

I had an aha moment about my weight a few days ago when I was coloring my hair. I was sitting in my underwear waiting for the time for it to set and caught a glimpse of myself in a full length mirror sitting there. It was not a pretty site.
Oh well, I am healthier today than I was yesterday and I will be better tomorrow! You will too.

The old saying it takes two. Well, I never wanted a divorce and I always thought that marraige is meant to work through. I have now been divorced twice! Oh well again.

I heard a saying you might like. I believe it is by George Bernard Shaw. He said, "I will never make someone a priority that considers me an option".

One other thing. I grew up military. We moved every two years my whole life. I understand the support system thing.

    Kassie, I felt that your were being so honest in all of your vblogs about your life, that you were eating correctly and you had made great progress in your weight loss. If people has not been exactly where you are, then they don't understand that it takes longer to reach goal weigh when we are overweight so much. I think you are doing fabulous. You are winning the FIRST battle when you are being honest with yourself about what you are doing, even if the food is considered HEALTHY it can be a NO,NO in someway for us. It is so great that you are able to use the tool of VBloging to keep yourself in check. I think you are being so honest and brave in doing so.You encourage me so much. I replay to your Vblog because I can feel you. I have went through a lot of the things you have when I was younger. I didn't give up and I started over and over, but I am still kicking and fighting this food obsession that I have. So, So ! Proud of you. emoticon

    I am sorry about the messages. I totally know what you meant this whole time, we are living in the now and what we are doing now. I ate fast food constantly and that is how I got as big as I was, massive amounts of fast food... but if someone asks me today I say I don't really eat fast food at all. Which is true, because the last 5 months I haven't eaten it except on a rare occasion. But that doesn't make me a liar now does that? I don't think we should have to be like "oh yeah, I used to eat like a heffer but now I don't". LOL. I heart you so much. I wish we were neighbors and you and I could bust a move together. We'd be skinny already if we were neighbors. ;)

I respect you so much for not having chips in the house. I have finally been able to keep myself to one serving of baked chips. But before I couldn't have them. But there are trigger foods I simply can not have in the house, one is macaroni salad. I will go face first into that tub and be TOAST LOL.

That is so great about the one bite at a time. You have come such a long long way. And I totally get it, you had a food issue, it's not a huge issue anymore, but every now and again it pops up and stares you in the face. And your birthday is a trigger for it. I totally get it and I adore you. emoticon

    I AGREE!!!! That is why I am staying far far far far far away from chips because if I allow myself 1 then that bag is gone!!! I can turn off EVERYTHING else no big deal! But those chips I just lose ALL control!!!

    A bag of chips is so not worth it Kassie. Trust me, I had one the other day and it didn't solve anything. It just made me retain fluid. I am on day 2 of starting again. I hope this is the time it sticks. I am keeping a journal this time besides logging my food now.

I love how you weaned yourself off of portion size by one bite at a time. I agree with you that water is going to be better than juice or soda. I heard it said that in trying to lose weight a person should not drink their calories because they are too precious.

I allow myself 2 fruit servings. Right now it is watermelon. Yum.

    Preach! Everyone loves to dance...there are just people who don't want to admit it!!! I so wish that we lived closer together....I would let you cry on my shoulder, then we could get up and bust a move LOL. You are very strong and I admire the fact that you are in touch with your feelings. You are coping better than you probably think you are. Have you talked with him about his influence as a father?     You are such a doll. I totally remember you saying about the internet guy birthday, and the cop birthday when you told us a lot about your past. It is like a history of bad birthdays. I so understand and my heart goes out for you. You want a happy birthday memory with your family, which includes your beautiful daughter AND your husband, and not one that takes place at the hospital. emoticon

I'm so sorry to hear about his grandma. :(

I agree everyone can dance and shake it, I do it and it's not pretty but we are all capable. :)

    Honesty is the best policy! I'm so sorry to hear about your family's loss.
As for trying out the hubby's workout...Go for it!!!! Do your own thing, modify it, go as long as you can, but at least you'll be moving and you'll be spending time together. Maybe once he see's that your really doing it then he'll be more apt to trying some of the things you like.?? I would love for my hubby to be more active with me, it took nearly 3 months of me working out before he joined in. He still only joins in occasionally so most of the time I'm doing it solo. But the point is that I do it...with or without him. You have to want to do this for yourself first and if you get a workout buddy during the journey then that's great, if not, you'll still be reaping the rewards!

Remember the only one you can change in life is yourself. We have to take care of yourself. It is good that you are using this Vblog to express yourself. I think are justify with wanting your husband to relate differently to you, but you can not change people. We need to accept them for who they are or get out of the situation. You sound like you need a good friend and you are trying to make your husband into that friend that you do everything with. Well, in life "ONE" friend can't be "EVERYTHING" to us. We need to seek out friends that will be able to inter act with us in different activities. That means that if yu don't have those friends, then you need to think about reaching out to people. Maybe you can check into something that the community offers for stay at home moms that is free or very little money. Get out and go to a park where there are other mothers. You are friendly and make friends in no time.

    I listened to your whole vlog. It is painful to listen and watch another soul in so much pain, but you are using a tool to vent and talk it through. You are so brave or maybe you just don't know what to do with the pain right now. Just the fact that you are talking it through is a sign that you are dealing with it in a healthy way. Maybe I will start vlogging.

    Wow Kassie, You have some great feedback on this vlog. I agree with the "parent" thing. You know how there are people who don't know how to enjoy so they need to learn to let the child out? Well, I am one of those that knows how to enjoy, so I need the parent deciding when enough-is-enough. Ha. Or, my child side will want to indulge and play all the time.

I have some Crocs sandals (not the shoe) that have good soles and slip easily on, but for any kind of serious walking I have to have support for my arches or my feet and back hurt. My sister has the shoes and she slipped on spilled liquid at Safeway and hurt her hip.

My son, who is around your age, will turn 30 on Friday the 30th. Do things you and your daughter will enjoy. Put on your fav music and dance, explore something outside. I loved watching ants when I was a kid or finding the best bug ever Ha! Told you I know how to play. She is so little, but I bet she would love to make you a b-day card if you helped.
NuttyNerdGirl has the right idea. Get an outfit that you put on and be motivated for the day!

    Any kind of slippers with the rubber soles would be awesome. :) I can't find the exact ones I have, but they are similar to this

They also have those socks with the traction-y stuff.

Okay on the food thing, get out of my head!!!! I know you have had a lot of good advice on what to do, but I just wanted to tell you that you aren't the only one to think like that. I had it in my head last week that I wanted Tommy's. Chili cheese fries and chili cheese dog, that's like 1500 calories. I thought I was over it and then Friday was just a crap day and I was like I deserve that Tommy's. I know I didn't, but I thought one meal wouldn't kill me. Then it spiraled into the two horrible days that I wound up having. *DOH* I just know what it is like to get something in your head, and it kind of "haunts" you until you follow through. Maybe that's not totally the case with you and you are stronger than me, but it's what happens to me lol.

    Remember Kassie "Fake It Until You Make it!! I act as if this is what I WANT to do until really is. When I see the improvement because of the correct behavior (Faking It) I feel really good about myself. BE you own parent to yourself and tell yourself that it is for your own good that you stay on the right track that day. Don't spoil yourself with bad behavior. Spoil yourself with good and rewarding behavior. You can do it! i feel that you are a great parent to your daughter, so you should be fabulous at being your own parent. Remember to fill your life, NOT your stomach. Borrowed the quote from a Sparkbuddy. Come on now quit letting yourself have your own way and listen to the adult in you. You will find great things to do on your birthday, just have to work at it. OK, maybe NOT what you want to hear, but it is all true. Love that you are expressing yourself. Now, get off the stick and get to work on staying on track. LOVE YA! emoticon remember this. LOL

    My friend is using these right now because she just had surgery:

They're from Walmart and they're super comfy and have great traction. I used to, and still do, have pretty big feet, so if you have to go with a men's size for awhile, just do it!

OR even the Sketchers flip-flops. Their soles are like sneakers, but they're super sturdy and if you get the right size, you'll have no problem getting into those.

As far as not having clothes that fit, I know you don't want to buy more clothes right now. I totally get that. But even if you by one or two outfits that will help you get out and do activities, that is an investment in your health. Things that will help you get closer to your goals, like proper clothes and shoes or fresher foods that cost a bit more - they're all investments in YOU. You are worth investing in.

For your birthday, I think you should imagine a two part meal where half of it is healthier so you feel like you're doing something good, like a really excellent vegetable dish. The other half can be totally naughty, like one of those individual small cakes from Coldstone Creamery. It's your birthday, you should feel okay about indulging. Just use your head, you know where the line is between treating yourself and going overboard. It's going to be a great day for you, just wait and see.

    Kassie!!! OK, here's a question?? What do you like to eat that is lower in calories and healthier for you?? Fruits, and vegs, chicken, tuna,... I'm cooking up some hard boiled eggs to fill in those spots where I need more protein. Do you like cottage cheese? (I hate it) Soups, healthy stews. You have to plan healthier foods to eat on your birthday, when Jeff is away.
I think birthdays are "over-rated" anyway!! Plan a fun day with Adalynn. You two have a fun birthday party! Instead of dwelling on the bad...try to make it a good day for you two. Just a suggestion... emoticon emoticon
