Still Feeling Good!

Ah it is Sunday! It is the start of a positive week. I no longer have that "Just starting out feeling." Its been a week and I can look back upon it and tell myself that I -have- made some progress that I am doing the right thing.

Just the drinking 8 glasses of water a day alone has already helped my skin feel more smooth, the swelling in my ankles have gone down because not only was I pregnant but I think I was slightly dehydrated so my body was retaining even more water. Now that my body is getting a regular supply of water I am no longer retaining as much. My skin is less dry, especially my legs.

I seem to have more energy as well. I am no longer falling asleep at work. ( I work night shift don' shoot me!)

So all in all. I feel this next week is going to be great!

I feel great today. I did my exercises, I ate below my calorie intake. I've been drinking plenty of water. I'm sooo tired right now though. I worked last night and I just got home a few hours ago so I think I will go to bed. My mom told me it looked like my butt was getting smaller.

I refuse to really track my weight until I have the baby though. No matter what I know it will disappointment. You aren't supposed to lose weight during pregnancy. So I refuse to look!

I did ... okay yesterday. I didn't get 10,000 steps like I wanted. I only got in 8000 something before I found myself exhausted because of my day. My work schedule is all messed up. I woke up at 4am yesterday not expecting to work but they called and asked if I would come in at 3pm around noon. I do need the hours so I went in. I had eaten a subway oven roasted chicken footlong with mustard, tomatoes, and banana peppers. I didn't get anything else to eat until about 11pm that night. The good news is I didn't go over my calorie intake. The bad news is that I had a big meal before I went to bed which I know isn't good but I was hungry.

I did get my eight glasses of water . I also was about to get my 30 minutes of low impact aerobic exercises.

Well I was doing well. See my mother is visiting and she really really wanted to have chinese buffet. I know I have a weakness. All that food. I can hardly pass up the bad choices. I begged her to change her mind. Maybe take out instead because then it would be easier for me to make the choice without having to see the food. Nooo she wanted the buffet so we went to the buffet.

How did I do? Not good, but better than before. I did have some bad choices but I had them in moderation. I focused on chicken and broccoli and rice though. I have no idea what my calorie intake was. I tried to make it a point to eat slow so I wouldn't make too many trips. As it was I made 2. Which is better than my usual 3-4 including dessert which I didn't have this time. I don't think I will count this as quite a set back since I did make some good choices as well. I will try not to dwell on yesterday. I will focus on today.

Again I have been doing really well on my portion intake. Also I have been doing well with choosing more nutritious snacks. There are lots and lots of pitfalls in my kitchen ( I am too weak to throw them out ) but I was able to choose an apple for a snack instead of something naughty emoticon. I've been eating a lot of fruit lately, mostly bananas, apples, and grapefruit.
