I'm totally confused with this Medicare and the mail I constantly get . I think I have brochures from every Insurance company there is.
It's a full time job trying to figure all this out. emoticon

I know what you mean! I go on Medicare in January and I have been flooded with information. For me I intend to stay on traditional Medicare as my husband's work provides our secondary and RX coverage so I only look at what comes directly from Medicare and basically if I do nothing it all falls in place. VERY glad I do not have to make those decisions! Mayber has good advice for you!

so much agree if you are with a company now call them and see what they have to offer they can help you by looking at your past medical history otherwise to say the least it is very confusing

I did it.
I got out of that comfy chair and did a workout yesterday. I'm going for 2 in a row.
Day by day, one at a time, I will get there!

Good for you!!! I think I stayed stuck in my comfy chair all last winter after my dad died....it wasn't until this spring that I got moving again.

I am SO happy to see you are trying to get back in the exercise regime again! emoticon emoticon
It is really hard to get back at it after you stop for a while because it is so much easier to sit!! I have a whole boatload of excuses why I should skip exercise, but none of them make me feel better when I use them.
I hope you keep your streak going.... I am cheering for you! emoticon

That's what I have become.
I come home from work and grab a water , turn on General Hospital , and sit.

My motivation has been lost somewhere in the fight with my daily problems with work and finances.

I know that I have the power to change my weight, to be slimmer and healthier.
So why don't I do it? Why do I constantly sabotage my progress?

When will I finally realize that food, although it tastes good at the moment isn't making things better, isn't taking away the problems, but just adding to them.
Sitting in front of the television hour after hour and thinking about working out isn't accomplishing anything.

The excuses are many.
I'm tired, I am stiff and sore, My knees hurt, all could be helped by getting up and using those muscles, and letting loose some endorphins to energize me.

So once again I am making the commitment to make it #1 on my to do list when I get home.
Don't sit in that chair!!!!
Get the water, grab the weights and resistance bands and use them for one hour.

Of course always while watching General Hospital!
LOL

I can so relate what you have been going through...I did the same thing last winter. I really think it takes a while to recover from caring for an ailing parent.

I started walking and it has helped me so much.
I work 10 - 12 hours shifts on my feet all day, but walking after work has made a difference.
My knees , ankles and feet hurt but I go as soon as I get home.
Walking with someone and having a juicy conversation helps.

Exercising and General Hospital. A win-win situation if ever there was one.

Make it a great week

My knees hurt most of the time but since I've lost weight, they are feeling much better. I also like to do simple exercises during commercials, every little bit helps. emoticon

I have to remember Sparking is first and foremost for A healthy me.

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Things got a little out of hand during the last few months. I found myself reaching for things I shouldn't and lots of things I thought I finally had conquered the cravings for.

The reason........I stopped devoting a lot of time to my Sparking!

It just proves to me that once I divert my attentions from my goals of a healthy and fit lifestyle even just a little , things will very quickly snowball out of hand.
Now I have been concentrating on retraining my eating habits and faithfully devoting my attention and time to my Sparking. This is my most important daily duty and I cannot ever forget it.

SPARKING WORKS!!!! but you have to put forth the effort and time to get results, and never forget ..I am a Sparker and this is my lifestyle.

Isn't it true with anything worthwhile in life? You have to want something bad enough to put in the effort to get it.
What really helps to keep me focused is to think about the health issues I am hoping to divert... like diabetes and heart disease (both of which are in my family history) I REALLY don't want to develop them so when I think about straying I think about the reasons I am saying 'no.'
You can do this because you really want it. emoticon
And....your bicycle lady cracks me up!!! emoticon

emoticongo for perfect attendance in January if you can. I had perfect attendance in December and I'm also going for it in January. I can relate to the going back to old eating habits. I do it if I'm not careful. So, here's to us. Have a good one.

So true! Taking time for myself, including Spark and exercise, is crucial, yet easy to forget when life gets hectic. Thanks for the reminder.
