Whats been going on with me

hello friends. I really am sorry that I have been so quiet. This just has been such a year for me. I have been trying to stay busy and do a lot of social things. Sometimes it is harder now 7 months later than when I first lost my husband.
I have been doing pretty well staying productive.
I have been riding bikes a lot and looking into new hobbies all of the time. I sometimes feel independent and strong, other times I feel like a weak mouse.
It is weird the whole grief thing. Any ways I just wanted to touch bases with you all wonderful people

Karlyn~ Good to hear from you! I have lost people close to me and the first year IS the hardest and some days are better than other ones. I miss them but they are always in my heart . God is always there for us and hears us . Keep up the strength of living each day.

I wouldn't be too concerned about how often you post a blog. You just keep on working your way towards your own variety of peace however you can. Glad to hear from you again. I'm glad you are finding ways to stay active, productive and connected in the midst of it all.

It can be hard when the world goes on while you are still figuring out how to put things back together. There are no time lines or rule books, you just keep going and trying different things until your new life starts to feel more normal. Swings in energy and confidence are normal, but they sure feel weird. We're still out here praying for you.

It it is any consolation, the first year is the hardest. Time really does heal, but it does take time. There is not shortcut.

It is smart not to try to "skip over" or stuff your feelings. Be with them fully, even when they are not pleasant. I tried to suppress feelings of anger and sadness by becoming a workaholic--that was a very bad idea. After ending up with anxiety disorder, I had to go through months of counseling before I could even cope with life again. It would have been much better to scream and cry and kick a few doors and swear at the walls when those emotions came.

Hang in there my friend, and know you husband remains with you in spirit at all times.

When I saw your name/blog title scrolling in the team stream today, I did a double take. Just yesterday I was searching for your page and blog and because I was missing a letter in the search, I couldn't find it or you.

I was wondering how you were, what you'd been doing, how you'd been coping. Not because I'm curious but because since I first came upon your blog, my family medical history started a new chapter with breast cancer. No one died, but that diagnosis puts a scare and newfound respect for all things related to cancer right in the heart.

Please keep posting as you feel it's right to do so. None of us know how much others care for us and about us, and how much we might be helping.

I think about you all the time. I am so glad that you have such a great doggie for company and that you are staying busy. Sometimes I still can't believe your hubby is gone. I always read your blogs and the closeness you too shared is rare these days! to receive notice of your blog today. I was just wondering how you were doing and hadn't gotten a chance to check. Know that it is perfectly normal for things to seem more difficult at this point in your grief journey. When I lost my son I thought after the first year it would be somewhat less difficult, but for me the second year was even harder than the first. I think the mind plays tricks on us. Anyway, I am happy to hear that you have been staying fairly productive and looking into new hobbies. I pray that you find ways to survive the holidays and this winter. Also know that you have many spark friends that are here if and when you need someone to boost you through an exceptionally difficult time. Many prayers and hugs are being sent your way!

Good morning! I hope you all are having a good start to Monday.
Things are going great for me. Donner and I are getting into a good routine. I miss my husband so much sometimes. For sure when it comes to dating. It has been quite the experience. I still talk to dude I mentioned in last blog but NOT husband material. I am in no hurry but not willing to waste time with men that will lower the bar. I have nothing but time. And a very high bar on what to expect in a man. I am so thankful to my late husband for that. I have a lot going on for me and a lot to offer someone and not going to settle for anyone.
I have been riding my harley a lot. Been going to the gym everyday and focusing on me.
My garden is growing well and I am doing a good job keeping up all of the house work. Work is good. I have been playing with Donner (my pup) a lot, spending time with family and friends. I am going to be here a lot more. I do great on working out. I need to focus on my eating at this time. I am planning this week on working on getting the sugar out of my diet! Wish me luck!!

So glad to hear that you are doing so well. I'm so happy that you have good friends and family to help you through it all. I know there will be the lonely times but it's also time to reflect. Got a new harley!!!!!

Good morning beauties!! Hope you all are having a nice weekend. This weekend I bought myself a new harley. I thought I deserved it and it brings a big smile to my face. It makes me feel close to my husband as I ride it and I know he will be keeping me safe on the road. He taught me how to ride and all of these wonderful memorys are with me. He would love this bike! It is a Harley Davidson Dyna Lowrider.
Other things are going really well and Donner and I are getting into a good schedule. I am still not smoking and very happy about that.
Work is good, my garden is doing great!! Thank you all for continuing to check in on me, I love that. Just a update things are good!

My husbands memorial~

Good morning! This weekend was my husbands memorial. I had it at our favorite dirt bike spot that is right on the river. It was very overwhelming having all of our friends and family there for us. I spread a little of his ashes on the dirt bike track at his request. Donner had a very full belly that day. It was very good closure for me.

So now that my shop is back together after a sale last weekend, I can start on your order! I am going to be able to work in the pottery full time starting next week, but I'm going to do some sketches and see what I come up with, given what you said you wanted. Tomorrow I have my annual with the dentist and then Dr's appt Thursday. I'm going to make a good start on it by the weekend I'm sure.

I totally feel your pain

he dropped deadd it was very sudden

he was obese..that contributed to his death

I try every day to make him proud

he was 29 years old..

wonder if there is a support group on here..

I know that you wonderful people care a ton about me! I have been doing very well!! I quit smoking and have not looked back! I am very happy about this and I am even starting to jog!
I have been busy getting ready for Brents celebration of life. I am going to throw him a big party this weekend at his favorite dirt bike area. It is right on the river in our town, It is beautiful. I am flying his son down on Friday and his girlfriend. I will get to meet her for the first time. I am very happy about this. Brent and Evan think that she kind of looks like me which is a good thing because he has a VERY bad mother. Anyhoo~ Thank you guys for continuing to check on me. Things are going very well for me and I am VERY HAPPY!
