I met a goal today: I worked out non-stop for 30 minutes on a stationary bicycle! Whoo hoo hoo hoo hoo! I started with a difficult 5-minute session with the "interval" setting to get my heart rate up, and then I followed that with 25 minutes at a level 3 setting. I'm so proud today, that I shed a few tears during my cool-down walk! Wow!
Now, I spent a couple of days at a hotel this week and took advantage of the pool, and that was awesome! I pushed myself to jog in the water and move major muscle groups for 40 minutes straight, but it felt so floaty and fun, that I thought I was cheating. We also hit a buffet hard for lunch one day, so even though I'd made a bunch of healthy snacks to eat on our mini-vacation, I still felt like I was slacking. I mean, I didn't even haul my butt down to the state-of-the-art fitness center once to hit the stationary bike there.
So, today when I resolved to try to make the 30 minute mark (which was my goal by the end of the month), I was afraid that I couldn't do it. I started with just ten-minute sessions five weeks ago and have been adding just a few minutes each time.
I can't thank this community enough for your support so far. You rock!
