It's been seven days since my last blog. Yikes! I was in the middle of a maelstrom. I had friends, family, and hired help trying to finish up a construction project by last Sunday. I was gimping around with a sore knee feeling guilty because I couldn't help more. Getting into the house I'm trying to buy was on the line, so I was pretty darn stressed. We meet the deadline, are filing for an extension, and hope to close in three weeks! Anyway, I learned a lot through the least two weeks, but I'll just fill you in on the effects of the stress on my health goals.
I've been eating out, making poor food choices, overeating, not working out, and even indulging in a huge binge on Sunday night. The results have been reflected on my scale the last two weeks. Bummer! The good news it's I haven't wasted any time beating myself up. Rather, I've recognized that I need some backup strategies. I've been walking to relieve stress; what can I do when my knees hurt? What healthy snacks can I keep around to avoid eating junk out I'd convenience?
