Progress reports are due tomorrow, so my goal today is to limit my workout time to ten minutes and complete paperwork instead. Crazy! I had no idea that healthy habits could be so addicting!

After my fears of being unable to get any cardio without causing more damage to my knee were relieved, I followed my doctor's advice and tried a stationary bicycle. Amazing! I only rode for 10 minutes a day for the last two days, but I love it! The bike I used got my heart rate up quickly and made my legs feel rubbery after just 10 minutes. My new cardio goal now is to hit the bike every weekday and work up to 30 minutes by the end of March. :)

Okay, I finally took my bum knee in to my doctor on Monday. I didn't want to quit all these healthy changes just because I was experiencing some pain! He said I "just" had a lot of arthris in that knee and applauded the changes I was working toward. I got a shot in my knee and a prescription, and I actually power-walked for a few minutes today! Yippee!

Wow! I feel like I've put in a full week already, but it's only been two days! The good news is that my knee is much better today, so I have hope that I'll actually get back to some fun cardio next week! It is so much easier keeping a positive outlook without that pain!

    Knees are funny things...pain can come and go and it's hard to tell if it serious or "push through it" pain. Hope yours is doing great!
...Yeah, me too...can't wait for Friday.

Down Time

A rough day today. I forgot that I had a b.m. (big meeting) today, so I went to work unprepared, kicking myself for not spending more time working over the weekend. My knee ached all day reminding me of my flimsy excuse for not putting in more effort yesterday. So, quit whining and try a little positive self-talk.
