In my opinion, there is no such thing as "cheating" on a diet.
I mean, really- who are you trying to fool? You are the one that you should be dieting for, and you totally know you just ate that cupcake, or whatever. So just fess up to it and include it in your allotted diet goals.
Besides, if we associate a negative word like "cheating" with a diet plan, won't we be nervous and evasive when it comes to diets? It is better to eat a little something special when you want to, than it is to try to deprive yourself of everything good. And once you realize that you aren't fooling anyone by sneaking that chocolate bar into your mouth when no one's looking but yourself, it will make things much easier.
If you really believe that you are making a life change and you want your diet to be successful, please remember that there is no such thing as "cheating"...
...only a little something called "accountability."
