Day 4: So tired....

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

I may have gotten a lot of sleep night before last, but I definitely made up for it last night. I tried to sleep from about 1:30 until 8, and I got maybe 4 hours of broken up sleep. I kept waking up every 20 mins or so.

Well even if I feel groggy and frustrated about sleep, I can at least feel good about my weight loss. I lost almost a whole pound(went down .8 lbs) and I'm finally below 260! It seemed like I would never manage to break that number! So that means a total of 3.8 lbs lost... almost a pound a day! If only I knew it would continue with such quick weight loss, but alas, I know it will slow down quit a bit after a while.

Well anyway, I hope you all have a good Tuesday! emoticon

Good job so far. :D I was so eager to see you pull of some more weight loss this time around and you did. I'm happy for you. Now if I could just get my own body to start cooperating with me here. Blah! :P

Day 3: A lot of sleep.

Monday, January 30, 2012

And so comes day 3 of my time on SP. I haven't weighed in yet today, I have to wait until tomorrow as I promised yesterday. I actually got a good night's sleep last night. I don't even remember falling asleep, I just remember laying in bed at about 1a.m. and thinking about something, then I woke up and suddenly it was 5:30 already! I was quite surprised because even after waking up then, I could lay back down and fall asleep almost immediately. I slept until 8:30, when my dog woke me up.

Despite feeling rather well rested, I feel somewhat down today. I'm not sure why, exactly. I think because yesterday the stress factor was off the charts, and it puts a huge strain on my mind. Today, I think I just need to be calm, relax, and take my mind off things with some exercise. I find exercise does wonders when you're feeling blue. I will as usual play the dance game on the wii, and I'll probably take my dog for a long walk around the neighborhood. And of course, house chores are generally good exercise as well - not to mention they desperately need to be done!

Well anyway, before I ramble too much, I should get going. I hope everyone has a great Monday! emoticon

Yeah I woke up feeling a bit grouchy today myself probably because work was retarded yesterday. I'm going to do a lot of exercise to get rid of that feeling today though. Lol, sounds like Chibi's going to be getting some exercise as well x3

Day 2:

Sunday, January 29, 2012

Okay so, I know I'm not supposed to weigh in every day, but I am very happy that I did today! I woke up this morning to a very nice surprise; Two more pounds lost yesterday! That's crazy, it's been months since I lost more than a pound in one day. I think now I'll wait to weigh in until, let's say Tuesday. Of course I know I can't expect to lose every day - or even every other day, but I don't think I can wait longer than that to weigh myself. emoticon

I'm glad I seem to have found a food routine that works for my body. I take the daily calorie limit and nutrients needs that the nutrition tracker shows me and I break it up between 4 or 5 small meals a day. I read on a site that more meals a day, in smaller proportion, is better for speeding up your metabolism and burning fat/calories. That along with my playing DDR (dance dance revolution) on the wii for an hour or more every day, it seems like a good combination!

I don't want to push my body too hard, so I think I'll set a goal to be down 15 lbs by the end of February(only 12 more lbs to go!). With how well my body is responding to my new diet and routine, I really think I can manage that, if not more. emoticon

Day 1:

Saturday, January 28, 2012

One pound lost already! However, that's not such a big deal to me quite yet - I lose and gain a pound all the time! It's like a never ending rubber-band effect. I will just have to wait and see my progress tomorrow, whether I'll gain the pound back, or it will actually be another pound or so lost - I would be happy even with a half pound! ^^

So anyway, I'm pretty optimistic about being on here again. Having a place to count calories/track nutrition is very helpful, and being amongst so many others who are working towards similar goals is such a nice feeling.

Welcome! Can I suggest only weighing in weekly? I started weighing daily and I went NUTS! I was up 3 lbs one day, then the next, down 3. I weigh in every Thursday morning as soon as I wake up, after I've gone to the bathroom, before I shower and before I eat breakfast. It definitely helps keep you sane. There are so many variables that can affect your daily weight like sodium intake. Hope that helps a little..good luck!!
