I had my weigh in today, up one pound. My leader told me I need to take a look at what I am eating. Even though I am tracking and moving more with exercise, something is adding pounds. Look back at what I tracked online-too many carbs, not enough vegetables and fruits, portions are too big. So am decided to go back what is tried and true, I will WRITE my food journal, instead of just logging it in. I will measure my portions, especially cup and ounces. I need to kick it up a notch to go down the scale. emoticon

    Don't be discouraged. You are evaluating what the possibilities are that caused it and with that evaluation you will figure it out and do better. Whatever you do, don't give up. Keep on keeping on and you will make it.

Today was okay. I tracked my food, drank all my water and then some. I made the decision to drive home instead of the hassle of flying-to go check on my Mom. I am tracking the weather on the highway, it will be about an 8 1/2 hour drive, but I can come and go as I please, gas prices have gone down a little and do not have to worry about flight delays, airport security, can pack stuff freely and then some Although it has been four years since I drove home, I am mentally preparing myself now. I am going to try and take it in stride and not sweat the small stuff. God will provide safe passage and journey for me and keep a protective hedge around me. emoticon

Today's word is Planning. Plan my meals ahead, be prepared by having staples in my cabinets will help ward off "surge" eating that is not on plan. Write it before I bite it and it will help me to stay on course and not wander over into the danger zone by making wrong food choices. So I am trying to plan a week's worth of meals, then head off to the grocery store to purchase what I need. Planning ahead helps with success! emoticon

  


Organizing My Exercise Room

Today I will be organizing my exercise room, trying to put things in order to get optimal use out of it. I have my treadmill, a bowflex, exercise DVD and a bosu ball (something I always wanted-great for squats). I am on my way to a more toned body! emoticon

Well is overcast and dull here this Saturday. Since I do not work workends, I do most of my heavy workout/trainings on the weekends and today I purchased a Bosu Ball. Merry Belated Christmas for me. I was introduced to this piece of exercise equipment last year when I had to money to pay for a personal trainer. It is a great way to do squats and abs, work that core. Since I am watching my pennies and giving up my gym membership, I am utilizing the space in my basement and turning it into my personal home gym. Well let me head downstairs and get started. Here is to a fitter and better 2009! emoticon
