Perspective Friday

Friday, May 15, 2009

I am taking a lot of things into perspective today. They fixed my equipment on my job, but I have leg pain for dealing with it the three days prior. I asked God what does He want me to do as I was driving home early this morning. Spread the gospel, get His message out, love on one another, help the hurting, be kind, be gracious, show support to others. A fire or flood or tornado can happen in someone else's neighborhood, but what if it happen in your own backyard. I thought about that, how would I take care of me and would I be grateful enough if someone gave me a helping hand. Everyday the news is clouded with job losses, foreclosures, bankruptcies, etc. I feel we are all one step away from the poor house. Am I helping those in need enough, if there ever comes a day when I may need a helping hand. I have to put things in proper perspective, don't sweat the small stuff and remember what God has given us the blueprint for...Jesus. Spread the gospel. emoticon

    Kelly,

If and when the time comes, you will step to the plate without even thinking about it! There is too much God, love and compassion in you to not help. It will be something so automatic you will be doing it before you even realize. emoticon

There are so many bad news stories, that the good news of Jesus Christ sometimes seems forgotten. I believe you hit the nail on the head when you said "spread the gospel". It's what people are longing to hear! emoticon

Somebody listened on Thursday!

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Wow, Thank God for Jesus, somebody finally heard my plea at work about my equipment being broken and off track. I have been struggling for the past week, trying to get my machine to work properly so I can load my job and the hoist is down for the count. Somebody finally heard my prayer, saw how much pressure I had to use to complete each and every job. I thought I was losing my mind, getting old and feeble before my time. I couldn't figure out why my left knee gave out and was bothering so bad that I haven't been able to really jump start my cardio training that Karen designed for me. I prayed and ask God for strength, clarity of mind, ease of thought and hope that this situation would get resolved. Finally, the message sunk in and I got a little help tonight. So what it came in my last hour of work, I am appreciative of it. Maintenance will follow up and hopefully when I go back to work later on today, situation taken care of. emoticon God surely knows what you need, even before you need it. I am prayerful that my left knee and hip will heal and I can get back to some real exercising, instead of taking tylenol and rubbing ben gay on my aching joints! emoticon emoticon

Driving it home Wednesday

Wednesday, May 13, 2009

As I was driving home from work earlier this morning, I was thinking about Galatians 6:9, "Do not be weary in well doing, for we shall reap if we faint not". That just stuck in my head on what God wants me to accomplish here in my adopted home state of Missouri. Today marks seven, yes I said seven years I have been here. If you have told me seven years ago that I would be in the show me state, I would have called you a lie! I remember seeking God for an answer, going to early morning prayer in making my decision to move. Funny at the time I didn't know it, but God had already worked it out and here I am. I thought many times (and still do) that maybe I should move back home to Michigan, especially with Moma being sick. I am letting the Lord lead me on that as well and in His time, He will direct my paths. So right now, my work isn't done here in Missouri. I still have to help spread the gospel, get fit and healthier and work God's plan, not my own. emoticon emoticon

This is Tuesday

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

This is Tuesday, day after Monday-my hardest day of the week. Well I was able to get an hour of overtime so far. That is good in this terrible stressed, economic times with my company. I didn't go up on the scale, which is also good. I am heading down in the right positive direction. I got most of my vegetables and fruits in yesterday. I am working on getting all my basics down to a science. Karen's plan hasn't been too brutal on me, it just takes planning, planning, planning. It is doable. My knee is still tightening up, but I thing with weight loss, it will get better in time. It has too, I can't afford to be without one knee working properly. I am just taking it a step at a time to get out of this weight gain rut. Oh what a tangled web we weave... emoticon

You're getting better at it, so that's a good sign. Once you have the basics down, you can continue to tweak later. Keep up the good work!

It must be Monday...

Monday, May 11, 2009

It must be Monday, I have the hardest time getting up and get moving. Ever since I moved to MO., Monday has always been challenging. I do not know why. I get to work in the afternoon, blah, blah, blah and the work week starts. At least my knee feels better and I can really get into my exercises. I have a job today, do not know about the end of this month, but today I am working and that is a blessing! emoticon

It is a blessing to have a job to go to! When I'm having a rough day, I think of all of the people who would love to sit at my desk.

I know what you mean about Mondays. No matter how much planning I do over the weekend, I always seem to run late on Monday morning. It's always something!

Have a great week!
