Today started off early with C25k training with a run/walk group run. I managed well despite the humidity. As we were finishing up, the instructor challenged me to run more at the end. I did it and boy that felt good. For some reason, my hands are sore, but other than that I was glad to complete my task. He said that it is nothing wrong with getting a little extra cardio in, so for week two, I did four sessions of cardio-not bad to get me moving and grooving
I visited a Life Time Fitness that is just six minutes up the street from me. Literally. It opened two years ago and this club has everything I need to get me to thinner thighs. I meet with the Team Weight Loss coordinator, took a tour and just feel in love. They also offer spa services, including pedicures/manicures/eyebrow arches/facials/massages. They have swimming classes, rock climbing wall, basketball courts, sauna and steamrooms, pilates, yoga, just about everything on my list. I am revising my budget again
, paying off stuff for the last time to make this a part of my everyday life. I did my fourth workout there today and burned some more calories. They have an indoor/outdoor pool and whirlpools to help ease my aching joints. I can come straight in after work and get my groove on since they are open 24 hours.
I ventured down to KC Farmers market after C25k this morning. Loaded up with fresh vegetables and some fruit-like strawberries. Picked up kale, zuchinni, potatoes, parley, some mango jalapeņo jam, jalapeņos, and some other stuff I can't think of right now. Grabbed some new spices from the spice table since that was the topic at WW meeting a couple of days ago. Yes, those evil Amish ladies were there, tempting me with their homemade rolls and cookies. I as good and didn't go crazy like last year.
Life is good this Memorial Day weekend. I have tomorrow night off, plan on going to church, see a movie and maybe a light lunch with some co-workers. Yes, God truly provides the things I need!
