Busy weekend, and Weight Watchersis out for now

Just can't afford it right now, and really, between here and my Fabfit group, I have lots of support, and I KNOW what to do, and i really feel motivated to do it. Eating has been real good this weekend. I worked out yesterday and todaywas rest. Went to church, and then hung out at the pool with my new very good friend, Tina. She isawesome and very positive. We met some other new residents and it was fun to chill and talk! Then I had to come in and do laundry and make dinner and all that. Made fajita chicken strips and put them on a bed of romaine salad, yummy!
Yesterday was run, run, run. I had to do errands, in the 106 heat, and then I came home and went to the pool and later to a friend's house. Been a lovely weekend and I am ready to start my week!

    Sounds great! Glad you have a new friend you can hang out with! Also, glad you decided to just stick with SP! All that you need is here AND...........the price is right!!! Right?? Never fear. If you need a tush kickin', you have plenty of kickers here and if you need a shoulder to cry on, you've got that here, too!! You're on the right track! Let's do this thing!

Need input! Weight Watchers...to join or not?

day 3 of doing good!! I have worked out and ate mostly right, 3 days in a row!! I need to get better at my water, and I'm trying!
So a lady from my park wants me to join Weight Watchers with her. i do feel i need some group support, but the cost bothers me, I have alot to pay right now already. Opinions please? I's cheaper to do the monthly pass, but I have all the online support Ineed.

    It's great for some and then others just hate it. I've never done it, but through the years I have thought about it some, but the $ was always the thing that totally stopped me. If you can't afford it, I say, no great loss. You really have all you need right here! And the price is right!! Reach out if you need help! You have a bunch of friends here as well as the SP experts that can and want to help you! (((HUGS)))

    I was on WW Online for about a year. I never went to the face-to-face meetings although they have online forums. It never helped me at all and emptied my wallet. I found that SP was much better and I have made so many great Sparkfriends. The forums here and the groups are so good! I wish you the best in your decision.

    I look at Weight Watchers this way: like the name says it's all about losing weight. Why not focus on getting healthy instead and being as active as possible and the weight will take care of itself as a side effect. "Watching weight" is like driving a car and looking at the oncoming traffic instead of at the road ahead of you, eventually you'll go where you are looking.

    WW is available on line. There are WW teams here....we can support you! Why pay $...but if it's with a friend, maybe it will help.

I used to run a TOPS chapter...seems to me lots of degradation in these groups if you don't do well...

    I am doing WW online right now. I don't go to meetings at all, so I can't comment on them. I really like the program, though. I find it easy to follow, and it's working well for me at the moment. The only thing I really use the WW website for is tracking, though. I don't frequent their message boards or anything. I'm already used to Spark, and I know how to get around this site. I really had no interest in trying to figure out how to use a new one.

If you are already doing well, and are concerned about the cost, I would not join. If you are struggling and/or cost is not an issue, then I'd go for it. When I joined in February, I was really struggling and WW has helped me get back on the right track. I may not stay on it indefinitely, but I'm sticking with it for the time being.

Day two!!

Still a little bit of nite tine snacking, at least no peanut butter. Why is it, I get sleepy, and think I need something? Anyways, today is a new day, and I'm armed with lots of healthy stuff. Hummus and baby carrots with snowpeas for snack later and right now is egg and lara bar. Lunch is baked salmon!
Excited about tonite, going back to one of my favorite yoga classes, I love having a car and being able to go where I want! Then coming home and doing weights.

My goals:

Want to put this in writing so I can be held accountable:
My workouts:
Monday- Weights and cardio
Teusday-cardio
Wednesday yoga and weights
Thursday Cardio
Friday Cardio and weights
Saturday cardio
Sunday rest
I am logging my food on my Fitness pal, as it shows you exactly how much you need to eat in proportion to your workouts.
I tend to cut it too short.
I also have a goal of 80 oz water a day,
Meals are either my protein shake for breakfast or dinner, and a regular lunch, or all regular food, but within my program limits.
No white sugar, white flour or processed foods.
Lots of fruits and veggies.
My goal is to lose 50 pounds and see where I am at.

Day 1!! Doing good!

Day one of our challenge, I have eaten well today, but need to plan more healthy snacks, which mean getting to the store, so I am gonna stop tonite on the way home. Next is my workout, yay!!
Had a wonderful weekend, and the BBQ was great. Thinking of joining Weight Watchers Saturday to get my discipline back, thoughts?? More later!
