Today's Challenge: Eat slow and enjoy your food

Wednesday, July 09, 2014

Eating slow is a habit that I have gotten into since joining SparkPeople, and it really helps you to enjoy what you eat. Anytime I talk to anyone about SparkPeople that is one of the things I will always mention. That eating slowly helps you to enjoy the taste and texture of what you're eating as well as help to fill you up. You would be surprised just well it works. emoticon Have a great day!!

Challenge: Positive Self-Talk

Saturday, July 05, 2014

You know, I put this on my blog back in May of this year, and it still goes for this challenge today.

"Beating yourself up emotionally because you slipped up on your weight loss journey never solves anything. It just abuses your image of yourself. So you slipped up, everybody does sometimes. but if you let it control you then you will be the one that looses. Take that "slip up" and put it where it belongs, in your book of "lessons learned", and as the song says; "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again." Remember, all your friends at Spark People are standing behind you cheering you on. Have a good day! emoticon emoticon emoticon "

emoticon I compare slip-ups to driving down the road and going off on the shoulder. If you veer off you don't stop driving. You pull the car back on the road and continue down the road!

Today's challenge to eat slowly

Monday, April 14, 2014

This definitely works and works well, at least for me. I've told some of my friends who are on a weight loss journey that this is a sure-fire method. Not only do you slow down your intake of foods, but you get to savor the flavor and texture of your foods as well which is very satisfying.
