Getting a little better

emoticonToday is much better after a week of ice and snow. Am doing better physically. Have had one epidural on the back and am scheduled for another one. Completed one round of exercises on my shoulder which helped some but may still require surgery. Am starting on another round of pt to help back and neck. It is slow going. Had mri on neck. Trying to get one body part after another fixed.

Depression is much better but the medication is so expensive. Hope to change it in April but doctor does not want to change at this moment due to the amount of stress in my life right now.

Still trying to get my finances in order.


Am still working on my targets with the CFIDS/FM group.

Am enjoying the DWD Posses. Computer has been down so I have been unable to check in. Hope to do better.

Still not painting right now.

Freezing here. Here in the valley we are supposed to get wind chills around l5 below. In the mountains, it will be 25 below. I have slept most of the day. I have been sleeping a lot since the epidural and I guess I need it. One good thing is I am eating less than usual.

Lonely today but i didn't feel like going out at all. Now to choose my book to snuggle under the covers tomorrow as I am absolutely not going out until tomorrow pm to get the mail. Joyce

I hope you are feeling better than you did a couple of days ago. I know exactlly how you feel.

We have been having below zero temps and wind chills of -50. Yeah no fun at all!!!!

Back again with hopes for a better New Year

I have probably gained all my weight back, but this year was horrible. Lost two friends who died and then hubby was sick all year and died in September and I have just been trudging along with the massive amounts of paperwork and I just couldn't cope with the computer or anything else. So next week, I will try to do the trackers. Right now, just catching up on the teams and relearning my way
back around the site and catching up on discussions.

I had an epidural today in hopes I can put off back surgery and been in pt for my arm but really am sure I will eventually have to have surgery.

So I am actually starting over again.

Goals revision

emoticon I met several of my short term goals: to sleep 6 to 8 hours per night, to interact more with people, to get my water in and to avoid overstimulation prior to bedtime.

I revised my goals so they are short simple checkoffs so I can remember to maintain old habits while doing new ones.

I have been ill with a gastrointestinal virus and low potassium and my husband has been in the hospital and my friend is dying. I have done nothing but go to doctors and hospitals this month and am exhausted.

I did learn one thing: the less time on the computer and watching TV, the better I feel.

I learned that I must choose wisely what I do and support.

I did manage to practice mindful eating and to keep most meals within portion sizes even if not always the most healthy.

So I start all over again, but I did loose a few pounds.
