It started on Tuesday when I was in Ohio to help my sister and her husband move. Their son and his wife invited us to eat supper with them, and we had lasagna. I asked for a small piece, but I know I had too much sodium when I ate a piece of buttery garlic bread with it. Then the next evening, Wednesday, they treated us again with a layered taco casserole. Delicious! but too much sodium again. Thursday I had a great time watching a couple of movies with friends. Popcorn and another layered taco-type of dish. Then I drank a lot of milk, and my potassium level soared through the roof (I can't have too much potassium either). So my ankles have been very puffy for three days now. Yesterday and today I've been good, and I know it will come off quickly (already a little better than yesterday). Still, it's not good for my systems. When people are kindly offering food, it's too hard to seem unappreciative and say, "I can't eat that."
