Sugar: How sweet it aint'!

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

pacificfit.net/article-archive/how-s
ugar-makes-you-fat/

I have an unbelievable sweet tooth. Add that to the fact that me and "moderation" don't get along and you have a recipe for disaster. I've been known to make it through the whole day with a pristine diet and then... hey look, the wife made brownies! Let's have 6! And then, why not wash them down with 16oz of Pepsi followed by the pallet cleansing package of starburst? While your at it, maybe we'll pop a few M&Ms (32).

That leads to a sabatoged night which leads to sabotoged day of dieting and excercise which leads to sabatoging my health.

This will be something I have to focus on - and HAVE focused on - in order to reach my goals.

I am the classic chocoholic but have been surprised to discover that after a couple weeks my taste for chocolate is quite diminished. This afternoon when I grocery shopped I picked up some Fit and Active sweet treats that are very manageable and within the caloric range SP suggests.

Motivation - Sex!

Saturday, January 19, 2013

Carrying excess belly fat definitely has an adverse affect on sex lives for men. Everything from performance to the low desire to do it. If that's not a motivator to get fit I don't know what is!

Funny how that little 3 letter word (sex) can grab your attention but you are spot on. Something's are often difficult to mention, but that doesn't solve any problems.

Went a bit crazy last night. Hunger turned into a gluttony.

Something I have learned is to take each day as a new beginning. I liked to beat myself up over yesterday, when there really isn't a need or a way to do anything about it. I know your feeling and when I get in the mood to over eat, I try to at least do it less or healthier than I would in the past.

Good Luck,

Do forget to reward yourself as you make successes. Take one day at a time! You can do it and your are worth it!
