Time to get back to the primal way of eating!

I'm once again focusing on ditching the wheat (and other grains) and sugar. I will stop putting poison into my body!

As before, I'm expecting a reduction in the bloating and inflammation, less joint stiffness, dropping a few pounds and increased mental clarity.

I'm a fast oxidizer!

I think this is really going to help me. I'm moving to:
50% protein, 30% fat and 20% carbs

Far too much information for me, but I think it said I am a fast oxisizer, too.

Here we go again...

Thursday, September 26, 2013

I joined SparkPeople in January 2007. In February 2010, I had hypnotherapy to help with my weight loss efforts.

Shortly after hypnotherapy in 2010, I reached my goal weight. I did good for about 2 years. Unfortunately, it all did not stay off. I thought I could have baked goods once in awhile (donuts, cake, cookies), candy bars once in awhile. I thought I could go days without exercising now that I was slim.

WRONG! The weight has been coming back on at a rate of 2-3 lbs a month this past year. Now add that up over a year - 20-30 lbs. Its embarrassing and disappointing.

Well, here we go again. I'm listening to my hypnotherapy CD again for 21 days. I'm back to tracking my food and exercising. Here we go again. I want so much to CHANGE forever and keep the weight off. I know the yo-yo 'dieting' is very bad on your heart and health in general. I cannot keep doing this!

My New Life Is Beginning Now

Thursday, March 11, 2010

I went to hypnotheraphy for weight loss approximately 2.5 weeks ago. I am excited to say that I am down 8.5 pounds so far!

I've always known what to do to lose weight. Eat healthy and control portions, keep hydrated, and exercise. However, I could never do everything all at once for any significant period of time. In other words, I could never "get it together".

So far things are finally going great and I feel like I am beginning a new life. I am eating mostly "Super Foods" (vegetables), white meat (chicken and turkey) and fish, and nothing is prohibited. I'm finding that I no longer want the bad stuff. If I have a craving, I'm able to resist and it passes quickly. Eating is no longer the highlight of my day.

I am looking forward to exercise daily - as it is now just another part of my day, not something that I HAVE to do. I always had the excuse that I didn't have time or I was too tired. I really AM a busy person - do alot of traveling for work - don't have anyone to help me do my yard work, house work, cook, clean... But I've learned to prioritize.

I am admitting that I CAN'T do everything. If it comes between cleaning my bathtub and exercising, I will exercise. What's the worse that could happen with the bathtub if I don't clean it? What's the worse that could happen if I don't exercise?

More hydration comes easily now. I drink something every 20-30 minutes. Anything counts as long as it does not have sugar in it. It is alot easier than only being able to count water. It can be coffee, diet sodas, water, tea - anything without added sugar. I am drinking 1/2 my body weight in ounces each day.

I plan on things continuing to go well for me. I am so excited for my May vacation and to finally be at a healthy weight this summer!

That sounds so encouraging! I'm struggling right now but your blog makes me remember that it doesn't take long to get past those cravings - I'll have to give it a little more time. I did manage to actually lose weight on a trip instead of gain so I do know I'm on the right track! You sound so excited - it will motivate me! Thanks!

Pumped After Hypnotherapy!

Monday, February 22, 2010

I heard some ads on the TV and radio about Dr. Bill Stles in the Pittsburgh, PA area. He is a hypnotherapist.

There were SEVERAL TV and radio personalities that went to Dr. Stiles over the years and many, many others that have awesome testimonials for weight loss, quitting smoking, etc.

I KNOW exactly what to do to lose weight. Eat the right foods, exercise and stay hydrated. That is exactly what Dr. Stiles's program entails.

What I didn't have is willpower. Dr. Stiles programmed my subconcious to take over when the decisions get tough.

I just started, so yes it is easy right now. But the many testimonials said that it was a breeze the entire time. I have lost 3 pounds in just several days - mainly by increasing my hydration and eating the super foods that are high in fiber. I know alot of this is water weight, but i also know that it, too, needs to come off!

I am so excited that I will be at my goal weight on July 18th!!

Thanks Dr. Stiles!!
